Clinton Demands ABC Fix 9/11 Movie or Pull It (just delicious)

An angry Bill Clinton is demanding that ABC "correct all errors” in its upcoming miniseries "The Path to 9/11” — or pull it from the air.

In a letter to ABC boss Bob Iger, Clinton refuted several of the miniseries’ assertions, including that he was too preoccupied with the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal to care about Osama bin Laden.

"The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate and ABC has the duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely,” reads the letter, written by Bruce Lindsey, head of the Clinton Foundation, and Douglas Bond, a top lawyer in Clinton’s office.

The letter — obtained by the New York Post — also charges that the miniseries is a "fictitious rewriting of history.”

Clinton aides have seen only a trailer from the six-hour miniseries, which airs on Sept. 10 and 11, the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. They have also received reports from political allies who have seen it.

Clinton’s office requested a copy of the docudrama, but the request was denied, Clinton spokesman Jay Carson told the Web site TPMCafe.com.

In one scene from the miniseries, an FBI agent and a CIA operative complain about red tape frustrating their attempts to pursue terrorists, according to a front-page story in the Post that refers to Clinton as "Bungle Bubba.”

The movie then cuts to a close-up of Clinton maintaining that he did "not have sex with that woman” — Monica Lewinsky — insinuating that the Lewinsky scandal was distracting him from the bin Laden threat.

Clinton’s letter notes that the 9/11 Commission’s report concluded that he was "deeply concerned” about bin Laden. In another scene, then-National Security Adviser Sandy Berger — played by Kevin Dunn — denies authorization to CIA agents about to capture bin Laden in Afghanistan.

Up town, down town
Little Willy, Willy drives them wild with his run-around style
Inside, outside
Willy sends them silly with his star-shine shimmy shuffle smile
Mama done chase Willy down through the hall
But laugh, Willy laugh, he don't care at all
Hey down, stay down, stay down, down

'Cause little Willy, Willy won't go home
But you can't push Willy round
Willy won't go, try tellin' everybody but, oh no
Little Willy, Willy won't go home

Let's see, if the "rewriting" was "fictitious" that would mean that it (the rewriting) didn't happen, yes?

I hope that ABC sticks to their guns on this.

I urge everyone to go to ABC website and voice your approval and ask them to cease editing the docudrama. blog = http://blogs.abc.com/thepathto911/2006/09/even_futher_cla.html#comments

And we all know that only Clintons are allowed to rewrite history.

"What if ABC has have a second version already filmed and edited..."

Way too late - even with out this program the truth has been out for years. Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright, Burger and the rest did their best to keep Arafat in office, they loved the terrorist....couldn't upset that apple cart, the Clinton version of Foreign Policy.

What if ABC has have a second version already filmed and edited which is much more favorable to the Clinton Administration.

The original has been previewed by people like Rush, and Hugh Hewitt, perhaps others .

They'll know if there are major changes to content and would blow the whistle on ABC.

Now, whether ABC considers that possibility more acceptable than having the wrath of the Clinturds on their heads.....remains to be seen.

The Clintons are probably trying to phone Bin Laden right now to set up a diversion for Sunday night.

"The letter — obtained by the New York Post — also charges that the miniseries is a "fictitious rewriting of history.”

It's Clinton and the RAT party that keeps trying to re write history.

The Osama files by David Rose nails Clinton to the wall:

"From the autumn of 1996 until just weeks before the 2001 attacks, the Sudanese government made numerous efforts to share this information with the United States all of which were rebuffed. On several occasions, senior agents at the F.B.I. wished to accept these offers, but were apparently overruled by President Clinton's secretary of state, Madeleine Albright, and her assistant secretary for Africa, Susan Rice, both of whom would not comment for this story after repeated requests for interviews. Vanity Fair has obtained letters and secret memorandums that document these approaches. They were made directly to the State Department and the F.B.I., and also via a series of well-connected U.S. citizens who tried to warn America that the Sudanese offers were serious and significant."

By definition, September 11 was an intelligence failure. As the C.I.A. man puts It, We didn't know it was going to happen." Some of the reasons for that failure were structural, systemic: the shortage of Arabic-speaking agents, the inability of C.I.A. officers to go underground in Afghanistan.

This one was more specific. CE Had U.S. agencies examined the AF Mukhabarat files when they first REI had the chance in 1996, the prospects of preventing al-Qaeda's subsequent attacks would have been much greater. Tim Carney, the last U.S. ambassador to Sudan, whose posting ended in 1997, says: "The fact is, they were opening the doors, and we weren't taking them up on it. The U.S. failed to reciprocate Sudan's willingness to engage us on serious questions of terrorism. We can speculate that this failure had serious implications-at the least for what happened at the U.S. Embassies in 1998. In any case, the U.S. lost access to a mine of material on bin Laden and his organization."

How could this have happened? The simple answer is that the Clinton administration had accused Sudan of sponsoring terrorism, and refused to believe that anything it did to prove its bona fides could be genuine. At the same time, perceptions in Washington were influenced by C.I.A. reports that were wildly inaccurate, some the result of deliberate disinformation. The problem, Carney says, was "inadequate vetting and analysis by the C.I.A. of its own product." That, in turn, was being conditioned by the Clinton administration's hostility to Sudan's Islamic regime: "Despite dissent from the State Department's own Bureau of Intelligence and Research, U.S. intelligence failed be- cause it became politicized."

Ambassador Carney: "If [the F.B.I.] had taken up my offer in February 1998, they could have prevented the bombings”. “They had very little information at that time: they were shooting in the dark. Had they engaged with the Sudan, they could have stopped a lot of things"...

Link not available. But the whole article, a must read, should be available online. It's very damning to Clinton, but swept under the rug by MSM.

Go here to let ABC know they are doing the nation a favor by airing this and not caving into Clinton's demands.

Maybe they should offer him the following half hour to do a live, in-person rebuttal? LOL!!

Didn't ABC say it has provided DVDs and study guides to all High Schools in the US? If so, would they not need to have been shipped by now in order to be germane to 9/11? And if the DVDs and study guides have already been shipped, how does ABC stuff the genie back in the bottle, even if they want to? My guesstimate would be at least 250,000 copies of the DVD and 5,000,000 study guides. At a guess. (Or else there are guys and gals all over America rooting through the back of UPS trucks right now.)

Has Fahrenheit 9/11 ever been shown on network TV in America? I don't remember it being advertised.

I think the idea to go to ABC and let them know you want to see the unfarnished version...nothing deleated, is good. Rush has the tape...and has said, it isn't ABOUT the Clinton administration, it is about America and what happened on our country and three thousand citizens now dead by the hand of the enemy...Islamic Muslim Terrorism and what LED UP TO 9/11. Most of the attacks (and there were many), before then that happened to America...were not answered by the Clinton. He said he would do something...he did nothing.

Do not be surprised that before the elections one of the networks will air the Liementary Fahrenheit 9/11.

Reminds of something that put a smile on my face recently. I was in a Blockbusters and there was a young couple there who were asking where they could find Fahrenheit 9/11. The young fellow behind the counter walked over to where it was in the shelf and said "but you absolutely can not and must not rent this movie without also renting Fahrenhype 9/11." After a few more minutes of arm-twisting, the couple left with both. I congratulated the young fellow on what a tremendous public service he had just accomplished.
