Clinton Demands ABC Fix 9/11 Movie or Pull It (just delicious)

An angry Bill Clinton is demanding that ABC "correct all errors” in its upcoming miniseries "The Path to 9/11” — or pull it from the air.

In a letter to ABC boss Bob Iger, Clinton refuted several of the miniseries’ assertions, including that he was too preoccupied with the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal to care about Osama bin Laden.

"The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate and ABC has the duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely,” reads the letter, written by Bruce Lindsey, head of the Clinton Foundation, and Douglas Bond, a top lawyer in Clinton’s office.

The letter — obtained by the New York Post — also charges that the miniseries is a "fictitious rewriting of history.”

Clinton aides have seen only a trailer from the six-hour miniseries, which airs on Sept. 10 and 11, the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. They have also received reports from political allies who have seen it.

Clinton’s office requested a copy of the docudrama, but the request was denied, Clinton spokesman Jay Carson told the Web site TPMCafe.com.

In one scene from the miniseries, an FBI agent and a CIA operative complain about red tape frustrating their attempts to pursue terrorists, according to a front-page story in the Post that refers to Clinton as "Bungle Bubba.”

The movie then cuts to a close-up of Clinton maintaining that he did "not have sex with that woman” — Monica Lewinsky — insinuating that the Lewinsky scandal was distracting him from the bin Laden threat.

Clinton’s letter notes that the 9/11 Commission’s report concluded that he was "deeply concerned” about bin Laden. In another scene, then-National Security Adviser Sandy Berger — played by Kevin Dunn — denies authorization to CIA agents about to capture bin Laden in Afghanistan.

never thought we would see the day when this jihadist ???

Homosexual/pederast who died of AIDS. Maybe that's why Arafat spent so much time with Clinon in the White House...they were homosexual lovers or comparing the merits of the latest AZT formula?

No doubt Chinagate(the big one) is suspiciously ignored in the "movie"....
Oh! and poor old Vince Foster.. Where Fort Marcy Park Rangers (on their bicycles) investigated the Murder.. In a city that houses the FBI, CIA, NSA, Secret Service, Naval Intelligence, BATF, DC Homocide Genarmes and several more investigative bodies..

The message of the whole ridiclous affair "IS"; "if we can murder the Asst. Attorney General(Vinny Foster) of the United States and get away with it"... WHO ARE YOU?...

A message not lost on many in Washington D.C. at the time, AND STILL..

Though I had always heard that Arafat was into young boys rather than fat chicks.

I agree with Clinton. They shouldn't make up scenes and embellish the truth. It is unethical and unnecessary.

Instead, they should have Mansoor Ijaz play himself in the movie and he can explain how he personally arranged for OBL to be delivered to Clinton and Berger killed the deals repeatedly.

What is the most interest about this to me is that Clinton still has all these people who are basically destroying their own reputations (if that is possible) to flack for Clinton - for free!! Years later, they still rush to defend Billybob the same way Pat Robertson would if you defamed Jesus. Tell you something, huh?

From July 1996 until August 1997, he (Ijaz) made six trips to Khartoum, meeting Dr. al-Turabi, President al-Bashir, the Mukhabarat chief, Gutbi al-Mahdi, and other officials. He suceeded in convincing them that it was worth making a further effort to persuade the U.S. of Sudan's sincerity-partly by drawing America's attention to the intelligence on al-Qaeda. His initiative produced its most dramatic result in a letter dated April 5, 1997, from President al-Bashir to Lee H. Hamilton, the ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

It stated: "We extend an offer to the F.B.I's Counter-terrorism units and any other official delegations which your government may deem appropriate, to come to the Sudan and work with our External Intelligence Department in order to assess the data in our possession and help us counter the forces your government, and ours. seek to contain."

According to Ijaz, Hamilton took the letter to both Madeleine Albright and Sandy Beger, neither of whom replied. Ijaz also wrote memorandums on his mission for Sandy Berger, and in a series of conversations he spelled out exactly what the Sudanese offer meant. He told Berger, "That phrase [in the letter to Hamilton], 'to assess the data in our possession,' was an explicit reference to the data on bin Laden. The reference to 'the forces we seek to contain' was an explicit reference to the attempt to stop al-Qaeda spreading." Ijaz and his family had shared their Christmas dinner in the White House with the Clintons.

As a callow, selff-serving and self-aggrandizing excuse for a man, whose career was built primarily on lies, it should come as no surprise that BJ would be apoplectic over the truth be known about his utter inaction in regards to the growing Islamic threat during his tenure as POTUS.

Nothing is more toxic to a pathological liar than the truth, than the facts. To paraphase your Larry Elder, they are "like Kryptonite to Superman."

I imagine this movie takes shots at Bush, too --- and you don't see him demanding it be pulled. It reminds me of how cool Bush was when Fahrenhype 9/11 came out, while Kerry was in a tizzy threatening networks over the Swiftvet ads. Funny how the liberals are always claiming they're the ones for free speech.

It will be interesting to see if ABC buckles to the pressure from Clinton and his pals. If ABC holds firm my opinion of the MSM will go up. I suspect changes will be made. Thus my opinion of the MSM will remain unchanged

The Clintonistas are now probably going through any FBI files, any dirt they can dig up, to blackmail ABC .

I just found this thread and reading through it I also started getting nervous about what sort of wag the dog the Clinton's can produce to take the eye off of this mini series.

I don't see what all the fuss is about?
Why does BJ care about what this movie implies?

After all, one just has to read "My Life" to find the truth for oneself. Yeah, Im kidding !!!

BJ has had his fun with fiction, now it's our turn.

The original has been previewed by people like Rush, and Hugh Hewitt, perhaps others .

They'll know if there are major changes to content and would blow the whistle on ABC.

Better than that.

Rush said today that they sent him a copy. If they edit the broadcast piece to satisfy (unfortunate choice of words, I know) Clinton, then folks like Rush will be able to show exactly what was removed, further shining a light on the whole thing.

"In a letter to ABC boss Bob Iger, Clinton refuted several of the miniseries' assertions, including that he was too preoccupied with the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal to care about Osama bin Laden.

Either this is bias showing through, or in the words of Inigo Montoya, "You keep using that word -- I do not think it means what you think it means." Perhaps the author means Clinton "attempted to refute," or perhaps "disputed."

refute / [ri-fyut]/ [ri-fyoot]

verb (used with object), -futed, -futing.

1. to prove to be false or erroneous, as an opinion or charge.

2. to prove (a person) to be in error.

The Arkansas Grifters don't want you to know about their role in enabling terrorists.

Keep complaining, Slick. The bigger the controversy, the bigger the audience.
