Bebe Jonah sees no difference between a documentary on 9/11 and a pure hit piece on Reagan? Pity!

Yeah but my gosh weren't most of the FDR/Trumanite Democrats still considered to be moderate compared to the modern flaming libs of the past 20 years??? I was always under the impression that they were of the Zell Miller and that sort of Democrat mindset, unless by FDR/Truman baby types, you mean the lean to the social left and socialist tendencies. Than I get what you're saying. Or she could just be like my wife's grandparents. Christians, church three times a week, pro-life, against gay marraige and the flaming active gay agenda, tired of the anti-Christmas stuff, etc so on, but still vote Democrat because they were spoon fed on that and they are Democrats first and everything else second. That is where a lot of the Democrats their age fall. On an issues level they disagree with the Democrat party, but they ignore that and allow themselves to be Democrats first and Christians/Americans second, choosing the party over their values and beliefs. that's pathetic and I have no patience for that kind of hypocritical person who sells their values out for political allegience. I don't even go over to my wife's grandparents but a couple times a year because they're such two faced jokes. She goes over since they are her grandparents but she sure gets sick of it, and she resents how they treat me, because I'm a conservative, as though so mehow she doesn't believe exactly the same as me, which she does.

I don't know which is worse; liberals who don't know better because they've been brainwashed from birth and don't have a recognition of how lost and souless they are, or people who do know better and have a values system, but sell it out so cheaply to the Democrat party, who they throw their votes to every other November, even while the Democrat party goes out of it's way to put down and insult people with those values. I can't decide which is worse. I guess the latter, because they know better, but whore themselves out because of their blind addiction to a political party that doesn't really exist anymore. That is sad.

But, he continued, if anyone calls and asks whether a specific scene was different in the original, he'll check that scene.

Heard that also but I thought since so few people(listeners) saw the original how would we know what was edited?

Regardless of how this casts Bubba, the high point of this docu-drama is 9-11, the Bush administration and TODAY.

Everything prior becomes hypothetical and carries the "no fault" seal.

The only difference being that the Reagan Special was just after he had died, and there were clear lies in it, being portrayed as fact. Clinton is only complaining about this movies because he doesn't like it, and says there are inaccuracies in it but can't cite any and prove it. What a crock. And no conservatives tried to force edits or sensor Michael Moore's rant of Hate Bush, he caused 9-11. The whole thing is just a joke. Liberals can say whatever they want whether they can prove it or not, but conservatives get sensored and shut up even when what they do is based on somethihg like the 9-11 Commission report, which liberals praised as the best thing put on paper since, well, ever.

All the libs are for something before they're against the same thing. That's how they live....lying to themselves.

Small world. How is that area these days? I know Cross County was the pits 20 years ago! I do miss it. Sounds crazy but that is my home.

That looks like most letters to the editor printed in the Austin paper.

Well...we are in Palm Beach County....so it's also a typical letter around here too. Haahaha

I started a letter to the editor some months ago, but never mailed it to the paper. I basically said that every letter writer might just start his or her letter with the following:

"I hate President Bush and Republicans. That would ensure it got into the paper. Most writers try to hide their hatred, but it usually shows up within the first three sentences.

The few Conservative leaning letters are normally published on Saturday or Sunday, when most readers don't open the paper, much less read the Oped section."

The only reason I didn't mail it, is my letter would never had been printed. I can't stand the LSM.

If this were just a scripted movie, a commercial enterprise for entertainment, I would agree with you. But this was film shot in real time. As it happened. With real people reacting to real events. Not some actors reading from a script.
What you are telling me is that your child is mature enough to hear the sounds of real people crashing to the plaza from more than 80 stories in the air (and those sounds are identified as such by firefighters) but would be traumatized by hearing someone say"Holy Shit!" as they watch an airliner full of people slam into the side of an occupied office tower or a cop, trying to get people's attention to get them moving out of danger by saying, "This ain't fucking Disneyland!"
There was no script for this. This is the way people reacted in this situation. To change it in any way is to defile these events.

If decency and standards are what should determine what will be shown, then why bother showing the violence of the impact. The blood and absolute devestation on peoples' faces as they attempt to leave the carnage. Why not bleep out the soundes of those bodies crashing to the polished concrete as well as the screams of the injured and the shocked.

I'm sorry, I just can't see the sense in your position on this. I DO get it and I do not agree with it.
