(9/05/06 - MEXICO CITY, Mexico) - The president of Mexico's top electoral court recommended Tuesday that the full tribunal uphold the slim lead of ruling party candidate Felipe Calderon.
The recommendation must still be approved, but Leonel Castillo suggested that the seven magistrates certify a final vote count showing Calderon with a 233,831-vote lead out of 41.6 million cast. That would trim Calderon's earlier lead of 240,000.
Such a decision has been widely expected, and the leftist rival candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador already has vowed to ignore the ruling, which comes after weeks of legal challenges and protests and cannot be appealed.
Experts said it was unlikely to close the growing political divide gripping the country.

The margin of victory was 0.56%. This was close, but it was no squeaker. If Bill Clinton won with this kind of plurality, the MSM would call it a landslide.

Today's primary day in Florida, Just got a call from the RNC fundraiser people, Question on a scale of 1 to 5, How important is it to prevent the Democrat's from taking control of Congress. My response, not nearly as important as keeping American citizens in control of America. When Mexico collapses into civil war, how many refugees are going to cross that open border, 20,30 million? per week?
Uh, nice try at diverting the thread, but no margarita.
Now I'll ask you the question on a scale from 1-5 how important is it for you that the democrats not to take control of Congress?
Obrador is like our Lefties - their agenda is more important than the nation.
