Unfortunately there is much sympathy for Al-Qaeda among the 'liberals' in this country.
If Al Qaeda's sole objective was to overthrow the Saudi state, somehow I could live with that even though the flow of oil might be compromised (I really doubt they'd cut their nose to spite their face to that degree). Unfortunately the non royals in Saudi Arabia are not living the good life they think they should be living as they see their royals (in their thousands) living the good life while the standard of livng for the average person in the Saudi kingdom has gone downhill. In a place like Saudi Arabia the people see radical Islam as the only route for change----and with such a mindset, the blinders are on so tightly that any perception of insanity if impossible.
