What a minute. Didn't the terrorists who held the Fox news guys hostage tell them they know New Zealanders don't kill Muslims, so they wouldn't be killed.

All Western Tourism to the Middle East should halt (with the exception of Israel.
All immigration, education visas and tourism from the Middle East should be stopped.
Maybe then the leadership in these countries would get serious about putting an end to this nonsense.

I would love to see the Roman remains in Asia Minor, some of which are supposed to be spectacular, but I cannot imagine actually GOING to syria or jordan (or egypt for that matter) in the present enviroment.

when I saw someone pull out a pistol from his pocket and start shouting Allahu Akbar (God is Greatest) and fire repeatedly They sure won't say terrorist and they couldn't quite bring themselves to say insurgent in this case. Freedom fighter wouldn't do either so all they are left with is "gunman".

No Westerners ought to be going to the Middle East to sight-see these days. It is far too dangerous and should be regarded as a war zone.
