Who is Steve Deace?

I am convinced you two (and others like you) actually ENJOY looking for Republicans who do not measure up to your standards. You delight in it.

Not at all. I have been very active in Republican politics for 15 years and there have been very few candidates that I have worked to help elect that did not turn out to be a huge disappointment. While I have developed a certain, perverse delight in my own iconoclasm, it is not much fun to be continuously let down by the people you believed in enough to help put into office.

Why don't you put up or shut up and run for office?

Because, unlike Keyes and guys like that, I fully recognize that I am unelectable. If a guy gets up in front of a crowd and starts talking about capitalism, people's eyes glaze over. I also recognize, unlike McCain, that my personality can sometimes be entirely to volatile to be elected.

I also refuse to subject myself, my friends or my family to the accompanying media rectal exam.

Steve Deace has an afternoon program on WHO beginning at 4:00. He's just like you. There is no Republican who is good enough. Poor guy, he really needs to jump off a bridge as I'm sure he will agree that Democrats are worse but Republicans are just not good enough for him to vote for them.

Nonliberal, I have a question for you: Pretend you're governor. The legislature sends you legislation that would outlaw all abortions in the second and third trimester except in the case of rape and incest. Would you sign the legislation?
