Clintons take her campaign to the fair
SYRACUSE, N.Y. Former President Bill Clinton says he's not pressuring his wife to run for president.
The former president made comments at the State Fair yesterday, where Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was capping a three-day swing through New York farm country.
The trip has served to boost Clinton's visibility in the state's Finger Lakes wine region and other rural parts of central New York, a predominantly Republican region where she would need to do well if she runs for president in 2008.
Former President Bill Clinton said he quote -- "didn't have a view" on his wife running for president.
And both Clintons said on the eve of the fair visit that she remains focused on this year's re-election bid.
Clinton faces a September 12th primary against anti-Iraq war activist Jonathan Tasini.

Her shirt looks like a picnic table tablecloth.
Syracuse is a BLUE bit. Or she wouldn't be there.
Bill Clinton was walking with a new Lab Retriver when the Marine Guard smiled at the new pup.
Bill told the Marine it was a pure bred hunting dog and that he got the dog for his wife and daugther. The Marine smiled and said " Good Trade Sir"
I despise them both. May be personally responsible for WW III!
Now, lets see. Where have I seen this pose before? Oh yes. I know:
The circus is in town!
Their phoniness is so transparent!
Hillary:Pig calling contest! Why sure, I'll holler for a pig.
Hillery: Looky here I caught me a big ole' fat pig.
Didn't any of her advisers tell her that gingham dresses have not been in style since the 1800's? (Or was it sabotage?)
BTW, where are the 200,000 jobs she was going to create?
Her advisors probably thought that it would help to secure a few votes from us dumb-assed rednecks.
You think ol' crusty is in danger of being retired?....
LOL
Not pretty in pink.
It must have killed her to have to be with all the little people. This is the one time a year she actually shows up in Northern New York, to have a sausage dog or two with the commoners. Her surprised look in the first picture is so fake my head hurts. Like she actually knows anyone there or cares.
The assertion in the article that she needs to do well in that area is laughable. She knows that she doesn't need one vote outside of NYC to be reelected, and that is already in the bag.
The picture of Bilbo's boots "that he wore just for this occasion" shows the Lewinsky like slavishness the press still holds for these two cretins.
Although Hillary has changed the color of her campaigning outfits, she still has the open-mouthed and bug-eyed facial expression simulating delight.
They are copycats from the word Go: cowboy boots on him, ANOTHER dog/pup, and colorful suits for her a la the Bushes.
EVERYthing about these 2 is affected w/only one thing in mind...to get power for themselves. Be very afraid...there are people out there who believe and vote for them.
"Why, YES, I did have this outfit made from an old picnic tablecloth! Thanks for asking!"
Dang, you beat me to it.
