“People tend to put you in groups — Hispanic, African-American, white, whatever,” she said. “Hispanics tend to stick together like the other groups do.” Even after all the years she’s spent in Arkansas? “We still don’t fit. We don’t know where we belong.”

I have many hispanic friends, and I'm as white as you can get. It doesn't get in the way of our friendship. People put themselves into groups. There's not a darn thing the rest of us can do about it. If she wants to fit in with the larger society, she needs to stop thinking of herself as hispanic first and foremost. I'm so tired of people complaining about not fitting in.

immigration laws make it difficult to get visas, so people have to come in illegally.

"That must be the official Latino/Hispanic motto."

How do you mean? What would be the white trash motto? Unwilling to work- welfare and budweiser are great? Give me Nascar?

Do you hang out in a trailer? Do you have velvet Elvis on the wall? Does a plastic Mary stick out of your electrical socket? Do you buy wine based on its fruit flavor?

Yes? Well then you might see how others view your commentary.

You have a problem with war refugees? Have you ever had an RPG fired over your head? Have you had people in your town hacked with machetes? Have you had all your cousins, brothers, and sisters, murdered and raped?

Get with it. Bury your hate and become a human again.

No kidding. Some of them don't even know what the meaning of the word "is" is.

Let's just paraphrase to save time, shall we?

Blah, blah, illegals...blah, blah sympathizers...blah, blah amnesty...blah, blah, El Presidente Jorge Bush...blah, blah seal the borders...blah, blah Tom Tancredo is the messiah...blah, blah, where are all the TRUE conservatives?

Does that pretty much sum it up for you? I know that it pretty much covers 60-70 percent of the posts on these threads.

;-)

Yup... sums it up. Any Hispanic, no matter how loyal to America, is a threat somehow to the yahoos. Must be the "Latin Lover" thing... which is 100% true by the way.

She graduated from Mt. Saint Mary's and all girls Catholic School in Little Rock. I know many families who cannot afford to send their girls there...

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the 2005 - 2006 academic year is $5,005 for Catholics and $5,401 for others. Fees include $240 for Registration/Curriculum Fee and a one-time Facility Improvement Fund Fee of $500. Costs for books (approximately $450, depending on the student's schedule) and uniforms are additional.

Wanna bet she got a scholarship?

Maybe she did - by working her butt off, something that much of American has forgotten how to do.

Do you feel like a scholarship should have only been given to a white kid? Or only someone born on US soil?

How does it feel to have the entitlement crowd on YOUR side?

Do you even have any proof to back up your statement, or is it just easier to assume in this case - because after all, Hispanic folks are second-class citizens?

No, thank God. Which is why I wish to see the Third World stay on the other side of the border.

All the things you mentioned are in our future if we continue to tolerate out-of-control levels of Third World immigrants.
