Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."

The solution is simple - revert back to whatever you were over a hot cup of coffee.

Sounds like some religous cult with guns. Where's Janet Reno when you need her? Absolutely. That administration had no problem using force against its' own citizens, but when it came to terrorists, they'd bomb an aspirin factory and kill a janitor for retaliation, overlook the Cole bombing, and pardon FALN terrorists on the last day in office (not to mention steal the silverware).

Let' try this: I have the highest respect for Islam Armed thugs, but it turning over my wallet to them was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns,

Re forced conversion; does Islam demand circumcision as does Judaism? Hmmm...

The west could use this technique very effectively.
Identify key islamic figures who are forces behind terrorism - whether or not they are involved in anything illegal - just an honest and accurate appraisal whether or not they're leaders and promoting terrorism in any way.
Kidnap them by special forces, then force them at gunpoint or however is necessary, to say they convert to Christianity. Film it.
Release the film, then release the troublemaker.
Repeat.

If it's Stockholm Syndrome it's been going on for 2 decades.
The media always reserves it's praise for Islamic Cultists, the governments and their people who hide them.
And for Israel and the US, the media gives only condemnation.

The Koran forbids forcibly converting someone to Islam. So, by its own definition, the conversions were invalid.

They simply wanted to come back with their heads still attached, hence the "conversion".

Wow, good idea!
Would the West then get a heap of praise as "beautiful and kind people" do ya think? lol
To: Deo volente
I think everyone understands the fake conversion to save ones life.
It's the press conferences and laughing photo ops with terrorists afterward that is sickening.

Haniyeh confirmed the kidnappers were from Gaza, squashing speculation that al-Qaida had directed the abduction. "The kidnappers have no link to al-Qaida or any other organization or faction," Haniyeh said. "Al-Qaida as an organization does not exist in the Gaza Strip."Proof positive, this isn't about political factions, it is simply the product of Islamic extremism seeking to act as God themselves over anybody they want to judge. Meanwhile, getting somebody from a western culture who doesn;t have a grasp on salvation to 'convert' to Islam doesn;t mean squat. They were condemned and dead to God already.

I have a three year old daughter, and I fully intend to begin the process, now, of instructing her on the ugly nature of the moon worshipping, mohammeden death cult.
I want my kids to have visceral revulsion, for these spawns of satan, much in the same way I feel about nazis, courtesy of my grandfather...
Teach em young, about good and evil.

The Koran forbids forcibly converting someone to Islam.Maybe so, but it also permits taxing, enslaving or killing them if they deline to convert. Same difference.

Yes, I would hope that Mr. Centanni says nothing further about Islam.
He might also do well to request a new assignment, here in the U.S., while watching his back. They'll no doubt issue a fatwa against him, now that he has publicly repudiated his "conversion". That makes him an apostate in their eyes, and subject to death.
Bunch of barbarians, the whole lot of them.
