Gaza - Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ismail Haniya said Saturday that he has received promises that two abducted Fox News journalists would not be harmed, hours after a deadline passed for their captors' demands to be met.
'There is a progress made on the issue of the journalists, and there are also promises not to be harmed,' Haniya told journalists in Gaza.
Reporter Steve Centanni, a US citizen, and cameraman Olaf Wiig of New Zealand were seized August 14 by unidentified gunmen.
On Wednesday, a previously unknown group calling itself the Holy Jihad brigades claimed responsibility and demanded to swap the journalists for Muslim prisoners held in the United States.
Confirming that he was personally involved in following up the case, Along with Palestinian Interior Minister Said Siam, Haniya said that he hoped the captive journalists would be freed 'in the coming hours.'
Earlier Saturday, a spokesman for the Hamas-led government told reporters that there will be a 'happy end' to the crisis.
I have also been praying hard for their safe return. I hope we hear something soon.
R I G H T... "we won't hurt them... we'll just cut their heads off." All us "infidels" can really trust Muslims when they make promises. Sorry but their religion says they can lie through their teeth to us infidels in order to fulfill their jihad goals.
As for the reporters, the only reason why they are not dead already is because they are propaganda tools for the PA...

In the meantime, Fox News is probably making back door million dollar "deals" to win their release and given time, expect to see Fox become even more "Fair and Balanced" when it comes to those "poor downtrodden Muslims living in Gaza". Along with glowing interviews of CAIR officials.
