If you a Democrat this cannot be good. The GOP rarely draws even on these polls.

Yet still skewing Democratic...could it be a big win for the Republicans?

I'm sure Iran et al will voice a collective, "Awwwww, s**t!" when a bunch of Repubs get in office this Novemeber.

Dems average advantage overall among all polls is now +6.8.

This includes a biased CBS/Slimes Poll which has Dems +15

The Dems are plummeting.

Always factor in +5 for bias toward the Dems in these polls.

A TIE in the poll is bad news for LIBS.

They've already stuck their necks out, saying they'll take the house and possibly the Senate. While I don't believe either will take place, this will be a MAJOR repudiation of Leftist ideals when they once again come up short. If they can't make any headway in this media-generated, Dem-friendly, Republican-bashing environment, they never will.

Just like the Democrats, to be winning the elections in May, only to lose them in November. This stuff never gets old, does it?

The picture is improving... and it'll get better when people begin paying attention to politics in the late fall. Ka-ching!

( No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo!)

It's a morale boost for me to log on to Free Republic, and read the responses from so many of the people in here.

I'm one of those "glass half empty" kind of guys, (My wife compares me to Eeyore, (the donkey on Winnie The Pooh.) - but reading the positive thinking here keeps me pumped up.

Hope you are right. Otherwise I'll relapse into a funk in November...and beyond.

We CANNOT lose this election!

If this is the case the GOP retains and adds some to their majorities. Good sign!

Apart from seeing that the USA is in better hands for a couple of more years, a GOP status quo election, or even a modest gain, will send the dems into a frenzy we haven't ever seen. If they can't win after the last year plus of GOP crap, they just can't win.

Since they have such strong self images and self esteem, they will meltdown like we have never seen before. Must-see TV!

Couple of my GOP friends are pissed off at GWB and the GOP reps, but they are starting to realize that if they stayed home and the Dems control Congress their taxes will go up because the Bush tax program will expire, our anti terrorism efforts will be hampered, and on a personal level many of them are GUNOWNERS, and the Assault Rifle Ban would be reinstituted with additions which the RINO in the Senate will not oppose and GWB said if passed by Congress he would sign into law. The GOP has to hold Congress and Senate!!

There are a lot of things that tell you about how voters feel. The most telling thing to me is the numbers on the the Iraq war. To the question is Iraq part of the global war on terror 53 percent say it is.. 42 percent say it isn't.

There are all sorts of conflicting answers. For example they ask would the US be better off with a Democrat in the White House the answer is YES. If they ask would the US be better off with John Kerry in the White House the answer is NO.

The point they keep trying to make is that the war on terror and the Iraq war are not related.

The fact that people think the Iraq war is not going well does not translate into Democratic votes.

This looks good for Republicans. We will hang on the senate and the house.

No joke, if they don't win big (or even a little) after the last 18 months of crap, and their salivating at getting power again, we may see suicides.
