There are growing indications that Iran may be planning an attack on American soil. These indicators are not secret — (snip) potential Iranian attacks on America, which will subsequently lead to its destruction.
A report on May 28 in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that an Iranian intelligence unit has established a center called "The Brigades of the Shahids of the Global Islamic Awakening."The paper claimed that it had obtained a tape with a speech by Hassan Abbassi, a Revolutionary Guards intelligence theoretician who teaches at Al-Hussein University. In the tape, Mr. Abbassi spoke of Tehran's secret plans, which include "a strategy drawn up for the destruction of Anglo-Saxon civilization." In order to accomplish this, he explained, "There are 29 sensitive sites in the U.S. and in the West. We have already spied on these sites and we know how we are going to attack them."
It was reported that America expelled two Iranian security guards employed by Tehran's U.N. offices on June 29, after the mission was repeatedly warned against allowing its guards to videotape bridges, the Statue of Liberty, and New York's subway system.This was the third time the Iranians have been caught in such activities, which could be connected to the sites mentioned in potential plans to attack America.
Mr. Abbassi's speech further detailed that "[Iran's] missiles are now ready to strike at their civilization, and as soon as the instructions arrive from Leader [Ali Khamenei], we will launch our missiles at their cities and installations." In fact over the past few months, Mr. Khamenei has been vocal about the impending "destruction of the U.S." In May, he was quoted in the Iranian paper Jomhouri-Ye Eslami as saying that "the world will witness the annihilation of this arrogant regime."

I believe that was the purpose of that letter to Bush just a couple of months ago. It wasn't just a can't-we-just-all-get-along letter. It was a call to convert before the attack and an obligation in Islam.
Wasn't that what the letter to President Bush, from the Iran-Nut-Job, was for?
I never fail to be amazed at the rhetoric that spews from these idiots. Don't they know we have nuclear weapons and could turn Iran into a sea of glass? I can only assume that for these idiots, warfare is an end in itself, not a means.
The idiots don't care. If they die, they see it as victory. If they win over us they see it as victory.
We wouldn't respond that way to an asymmetric, or conventional attack. To be honest, I doubt that if a single, low yield nuke was popped off in a major city that the left would allow us to react that way.
Correction: if they die, they don't see anything, period. That gets my vote.

Exactly, I left a similar response to a post about Iran stopping production by the end of the month, which will not happen. We will not respond to any aggression unless something on the scale of 9-11 happens. Our troops are too thin now to re-deploy and leave Iraq now.

Exactly right. In normal times I'd say, yeah we'd wipe them off the map. Now, however, I don't think so. The left in this country would scream about how unjust America is and that we deserved it, or that the Bush administration did this as an inside job. Recall that after 9/11 leftist raced to Iraq to be human shields to assist Saddam.
Isn't one of the tennents of Islam to warn your opponent and give him time to convert before you blow him up? On the other hand, didn't Osama do this as well a year or so ago?
At this point, I doubt that we would respond in any truely meaningful way, even if another 9-11 sized attack happens. The left is too far gone to allow us to have the freedom of action that is needed.
I disagree. Should a WMD land on American Troops or American Soil, you will see little oppostion to a full throttle response. The Libs are crazy, but not that stupid.
Even if they did raise holy hell, we are fortunate to have an Administration that would tell them to STFU.

We need to start waging effective psychological warfare on our enemies. We need to start leaking "dates" of importance and let them stir in their juices. We need to start having nuclear drills and missile tests very close to Iran. We are in much too passive a position right now.

They say that criminal minds only understand the force of other criminal minds. These leaders are worse than criminals. The world has already seen that they won't respond to reasonable negotiations.
I think an even bigger enemy we're fighting is right here on our own soil though: political correctness.
That mindset allows our enemies to run roughshod over us. It typifies the Left which has become socialism under the mask of a political party called Democrat.
We think the Middle East doesn't want Israel or America to exist?
