HILL TOPPER: LEADS ALL DEMS IN NEW PREZ POLL
NY Post ^ | 21 August 2006 | CATHY BURKE

Posted on 08/20/2006 6:02:53 PM PDT by Aussie Dasher

It may not be all uphill for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in a run for president. The former first lady - who already appears unbeatable in her re-election bid this fall - has come out as the top Democratic White House hopeful, according to a Time magazine poll released on the publication's Web site today.

According to the poll - which will hit newsstands tomorrow - Clinton would be the only Dem to make it a real race against GOP favorite Sen. John McCain.

The poll shows a statistical dead heat, with McCain getting 49 percent of the vote to Clinton's 47 percent. The 2-point gap is within the poll's margin of error.

By comparison, McCain would wallop John Kerry by 10 points, and slap former veep Al Gore by 9.

Americans appear to have at long last warmed to Bubba's long-suffering wife. She has the highest favorable rating of big-dog Dems: 53 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of her. That tops Gore at 49 percent, and former Sens. John Edwards and Kerry at 46.

Edwards, Kerry's 2004 running mate, generated fewer negative reviews than any of the Dems.

Though the poll didn't give a breakdown of red states' vs. blue states' opinions of Clinton, the Time poll proved almost everyone knows her: Only 3 percent of those surveyed said they had no opinion of her.

The poll also found that Dems overwhelmingly describe Clinton as a strong leader with strong moral values, while Republicans view her as an opportunist who'd say or do anything to advance her political career

Very. I was telephone polled and I consistently said I'd vote for Hillary and nobody else.

If the Democrat party is using polls to determine what to do, we can help.

I don't usually trust the LameStream Media. But here is the exception.

Democrats--the lunatic fringe and the unions--teachers, etc., and the urban base and the various assorted crackpot groups that make up the party of Socialism, Infanticide and Pacifism (aka Democrat) will worship at the altar of Hitlery.

Listening to Democrat press is like hearing Bagdhad Bob
talk about how Iraq is winning.

McCain? That loser?
Get a grip, presstitutes, in your dreams.

Not to worry, Hillary supported Bush on the WOT, and that triumphs over everything else. Better Hillary than some anti-American nut like Feingold

McCain is not my favorite.

Once again, I was not part of this poll. My family was yellow dog democrat. I was registered as an independent. I recently changed that to republican. I would not vote for Hilary.

a Time magazine poll

That is all that needs to be read, I'll have to see some credible source. Just another DBM/MSM propaganda poll.

Hillary will never be president. For many reasons, the main one being a 60 year old hound dog clutching his viagra bottle thinking about being in prison with her for 4 or more years and not getting any young tail. Plus, who thinks Bill would want to be #2 in the White House? The Clinton's bogus marriage is an issue. A biggie and Hillary cannot ignore it because while the mainstream media will try to the internet won't.

I wonder if anyone's run Rudy Giuliani/Hillary numbers yet. I think that would be pretty interesting. If Rudy can deliver the state of New York, Election '08 may be a done deal.

Couple those with the "soccer Moms" who'll vote for ANY female, just because they want a "woman to have a chance to try it"..."they can't be worse than some of the men we've had"...

It's gonna be real scary in 2008.

You are much to kind in your assessment of the Democrat Party. It should be described as a loose coalition of Godless communists, secular socialists, traitors, criminals, perverts, baby killing abortionists, illegal aliens, race baiters, welfare parasites, tree hugging enviro-wackos, pseudo intellectual elitists, and the feeble minded.

Hello,

A freak up the street from me (I thought that before I saw his sign) has had a Hillary sign in his living room window (facing the street) for over a year. First day I saw it, I am surprised I didn't drive off the road. It was close.

Of course, our next door neighbors think that Bill was the best President EVER. We vote to cancel their vote. :)

Glad to be here, MOgirl

Four more years of dead bodies in VA parks, FBI files, storm troopers in American homes, White House overnight rentals.
