Ali was born on 13 Rajab in Mecca, in the Hijaz region of central western Arabia. According to well-known traditional accounts Ali was born ten years before the commencement of the prophetic mission of the Muhammad, sometime around 599 CE (approximately). [2] Shi'a Muslims believe that Ali was born inside the Kaaba, [3] the most sacred site in Islam. Ali's name means 'high' in Arabic.

>>>Zolfaghar is the name of the sword of the Iman Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Mohamed.<<<<
What is the difference between an Abu and an Iman?
Is it significant that Iman Ali was the grandson of Mohamed? What does that mean in reference to Hitler being named Abu Ali?

Ali's father, Abu Talib, was a Sheikh of Banu Hashim, an important branch of the powerful tribe of the Quraysh, and an uncle to the young Muhammad. When Muhammad was orphaned and then lost his grandfather, Abu Talib took Muhammad into his house. Later Muhammad set out and married Khadijah, Ali was born 5 years later and when Ali was six years old, as a result of famine in and around Mecca, he Muhammad was requested to become his guardian. They're not doing all this for their own amusement.
If you believe Seymour Hersh of The New Yorker Magazine, Cheney and Neocons expect to wage war against Iran in the New Year. Hersh, interviewed last week on CNN about an article published this week, said the magazine had doublechecked his sources, and found them credible. Sources said Bush was reluctant to give Israel a free hand in attacking Hezbollah, but Cheney was all for it since he considered it a prelude...softening up the Middle East for the main event. Hersh (furious), wants congress to investigate.
