Ketamine is also known as "special k" and is revered for its ability to completely $#%& you up. It is commonly used for sedation of animals by veterinarians. It is often stolen from vets in liquid form, cooked down into a white powder, and is either smoked, snorted or turned back into liquid and injected. I am not sure what doses this guys is talking about, but anyone I ever knew that used this stuff was a "tweaker."

Back in the old days, weed would be laced with PCP. Knew a guy who loved the stuff; said he dreamed in cartoons. He was totally whacked.

At the end of the 1990s I had friends in Southern CA who were into this stuff. One year when I went to visit them we went to Mexico for the day to drink and hang out. When we got back I found out they stopped at the pet store and had bought a bunch of injection vials of Ketamine. They cooked it up in their oven and cut it into a powder, then snorted it like cocaine. I wasn't interested in sniffing any powders but I did watch a whole bunch of people get REALLY wasted off the stuff. About a minute after you snort a good bump you pretty much go into a trance. They called it a "k-hole" and it didn't look too good. Not what I would call a good time. People tweak on it for sure, I think you can get addicted to it quite quickly.

True. Interesting tidbit: cats can take ketamine without prior sedation. Other animals, such as horses, dogs, people, etc. must be sedated prior to giving a ketamine dose or PCP-like effects will usually result. Not fun in a 800 lb horse, I tell you what.

However, it used to (might still be) popular to use ketamine in human infants and children, in who's undeveloped brain a sedative effect takes place.

As far as depression goes: I was treated for ten years and the only thing that works was deciding not to be depressed anymore.

Worked like a charm.
