With all due respect, unless your Father can authenticate the Bishop who ordained him was in an unbroken line of Apostolic Succession, he was not a priest. He was a minister.

Do you have access to the same documents as Jerome allegedly "translated"? You asked if the writer did. I do. I have studied them in the ORIGINAL Greek and Hebrew texts, so that I could have a better understanding. I received formal training for that specific purpose. I have seen these glaring errors in Jeromes's translation, firsthand. I will be happy to give the site I referenced. I usually include it, for further research by others.
But, I don't really expect you to accept that as truth. You will only accept RC doctrine. Your mind is closed so tight, you couldn't open it with a pry bar. Otherwise, you may be ex-communicated, and nobody can pray you out of purgatory, then! (Oops, you can't be in purgatory, if the RC church doesn't say so, can you?)
My father is a Priest. I am also a priest. There is no line of Apostolic succession, except in the minds of RC hopefuls. You can take that straight to the Throne as well! Your RC church's guys are usurpers on the grandest scale imaginable. They seem perfectly willing to perpetuate lies and deception, and you have bought it hook, line, and sinker.
Scripture speaks very much about that... and I would not want to stand in their shoes, before the Judgement Throne! Whosoever adds to, or takes from, Scripture is destined for the pits of Hell and the lake of fire! That is not my Words, they comes straight from the top!
God will not be mocked. When you change one little dot... you are making it into a big lie! Your guy changed the basic meaning of Salvation, and added rules that God never intended!
There is no mystery in Communion. It is a celebration, nothing more! You can mystify it all you wish, and try to create a liturgy to support it, but that does not make it so...
