I haven't watched 60 minutes in years, but did watch tonight only because of the interview Wallace did with Sean Hannity a few days ago. In that interview, Wallace was practically gushing about what a great guy Ahmadinejad is. In his discussion tonight with Ahmadinejad, Wallace conveniently forgot to ask about Iran's nuclear program, their funding and arming of Hezbollah, his threat to wipe Israel off the map, etc. Talk about a softball interview!

I also found it interesting when Ahmadinejad said he feels bad that so many Americans don't have adequate health care. Now let's see: where have we heard that before?

I heard Wallace's interview with Hannity, too. It sounded to me as if Ahmadinejead had nearly convinced Wallace that there was really a difference between hating Jews and wanting Israel wiped off the map. Wallace seemed almost ready to sign on to the "let's relocate the Jews to Germany; after all the Holocaust took place there (if it took place at all). . . " movement.

This is totally untrue. I watched the interview and all of those issues were addressed by Wallace. Ahmadinejad chose not to give a straight answer.
