Typical boilerplate LA Times article trying to give cheer to the appeasement democrats, such as pelosi and hillary.

When wiil the powers that be at the LA Times ever figure out that they can't fool none of the people, all of the time.

BTW, they were a bit truthful. The democrats can be offensive, as the picture below says a thousand words.

Ask any foreign policy pro, and they'll tell you we're less safe now than we were five years ago — and that the Bush crowd is largely responsible."

Any "foreign policy pro" who says that is pretty damn stupid, considering that would have been August of 2001, just weeks before 911.

Sure, the Democrats are going on offense. They just scored six points for the other team.

LA Times trying to spin the shrieks from the surrender party into something positive. It's a complete joke.

I don't know about anybody else here, but if the Bush policy wasn't working wouldn't we have been hit again? Why are the dems such an after the fact party? Why do we have to wait until we are hit to take action? How progressive is that anyway? As far as I'm concerned on 9/12 we should have taken out the ME as a whole because they breed like rats and preach their hatred and teach their children to hate from the minute they are born. They don't care for themselves much less the future of their children since they are using them as cannon fodder. They are jealous of our way of life and want everybody to be as miserable as they are.

They are crazy. Republicans should just run commercial after commercial nationwide calling them crazy and playing sound bites of them using appeasment rhetoric. It would be enough to ask "Do you believe America is to blame?" then pop up lists of numbers showing how much we pay for oil and give in aid to all these countries that hate us. Democrats deserve no reprieve and if hard headed conservatives don't stop acting like spoiled brats and start attacking the real enemy within they are going to find this country exposed like never before led by a Democratic party of Ned Lamonts who could very well bring this country to the brink of attack and civil war. How we behave in this moment before the chasm will determine the future of the modern world and US dominance of it. All has been swept away before and we should know that allowing our enemies to gather till they have sapped our lifeblood and made use weak and poisoned us from within will be a peace in name only like a morphine drip is to death.

CAN YOU REALLY TRUST THE LIBS AND DemocRATS to protect America?

"We killed the Patriot Act"

President George W. Bush said "...Unfortunately, some have suggested recently that the terrorist threat is being used for partisan political advantage. We can have legitimate disagreements about the best way to fight the terrorists, yet there should be no disagreement about the dangers we face.

America is fighting a tough war against an enemy whose ruthlessness is clear for all to see. The terrorists attempt to bring down airplanes full of innocent men, women, and children. They kill civilians and American servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they deliberately hide behind civilians in Lebanon. They are seeking to spread their totalitarian ideology. They're seeking to take over countries like Afghanistan and Iraq so they can establish safe havens from which to attack free nations. These killers need to know that America, Great Britain, and our allies are determined to defend ourselves and advance the cause of liberty. With patience, courage, and untiring resolve, we will defend our freedom, and we will win the war on terror."

The headline led me to believe the Dems were finally attacking the terrorists.

But, no, just more of the same, "It's Bush's fault" crap.

Im not surprised to see the dems play politics with terrorism. Secretly they are in their rooms wishing the attacks had been successful.

Leading Democrats blamed the terrorism threat on "mismanagement" by the Bush administration and charged that the Iraq war had become a "rallying cry" for the enemy.

So I guess it was great management when terrorists tried to blow up the World Trade Center the first time, did blow up the Cole, Kobart Towers, etc. when Clinton was in office? Only when President Bush came into office did we RESPOND. Idiots. The FAILURE to respond was their 'rallying cry'.
