Democrat Ned Lamont's campaign manager said he will send an apology to the mayor of Waterbury, Conn. for describing the city that backed his opponent, Sen. Joe Lieberman, as a place "where the forces of slime meet the forces of evil."

This won't help Lamont's campaign at all. Lieberman can cut some great ads from it. If Republicans can find a viable candidate, they could use it, too.

We saw moveon.org move into Pennsylvania for the last presidential election. They were a vulgar bunch of Bush haters without a connection to the communites they invaded. They came from Vermont, New Jersey and Florida to work polls all over the state for the Democrat candidate. They were vicious and nasty campaigners that thought nothing of insulting local voters. We saw vandalism and and bad behavior by outsiders that wanted locals to vote for Kerry. Good luck Joe Lieberman. I don't think you have ever faced such organized, well funded garbage spewers before. I am in hopes you have the funds to cover every poll with supporters. That is what it takes to face off with moveon.org creeps. Every single poll in CT. has to be covered by Lieberman people.

I have heard late this afternoon what Mr. Lamont's assistant said about Waterbury. That is truly strike number one. This will not endear Mr. Lamont to the general CT population. Plus with the recent foiled terror attack in the UK, which handed a possible victory for Sen. Leiberman, the folks in my home state will get an get to see the true faces of this new Democratic Party.
