I don't understand how people can justify their own selfishness through the murder of an innocent baby, and I never will...and I'm not even a churchgoer.
I'm right there with you.
Not going to happen... even though it's requires an office visit and less dangerous than poison birth control pills. Typical leftist, letting the women do all the work while he lives his materialistic metrosexual fantasy.
SICK.
Thank you Lord for delivering me out of that filth.
"Plan B doesn't work if you are already pregnant. It is not an abortion."
From what I understand it is a "just in case" pill.
"Just in case" we managed to fertilize an egg which results in an embryo traveling towards the uterus...this pill prevents implantation.
Isn't that how this pill works?
If it is...then they are aborting an embryo.
"Abortion is the liberals religion."
very true...worth embellishing...
Abortion is the sacrement of liberals religion.
The central theme of liberals religion is that mans chief purpose in life since he is so intellegent and has evolved so far--he should direct his evolution. Abortion is an out growth of that religous philosophy. Man is nothing more than an intellectual animal in liberals mind. Whales and trees are more important than babies.
Um... I was talking to Greenpees, who's already said that he was going to have that done after the baby comes.
There's no point in telling a leftist to do that, they won't listen.
You're right!
When you have already lost your soul, does any of this even matter any more? Is there more punishment awaiting the already-damned? You can't change the heart of someone so evil that they would slaughter their own baby in the name of financial expediency.
"Although we both support abortion rights and favor the widest possible access to Plan B, we have serious qualms about the ethics of abortion"
What an utter moron.
"I do not see this ire directed at those ... who use other forms of birth control. Why this?"
In the eyes of many, there is a big difference between a condom (which prevents fertilization) and the morning after pill (which prevents implantation of a fertilized egg) as forms of "birth control."
I believe you are correct. There was a woman who called up Rush Limbaugh a few months ago saying the same things. She worked for the company that made the pill. Plan B can be an abortifaciant.
The people who kill their kid off because they are too lazy to deal with the consequences of their actions are despicable. A condom prevents fertilization, so there is no killing off of offspring.
If you aren't killing a human, what's the big deal? People who take the writer's point of view seem to be unwilling or able to grasp reality and the consequences of their actions and act in a responsible manner. Especially if it might intrude on their convenience and comfort.
the birth control pill has the same feature.
One can read it in the literature that comes with the prescription. The birth control pill doesn't always prevent conception, but has a "back up" feature of making the uterine lining inhospitable to implantation.
Many folks could be shedding embryos and not ever know it.
Many do that, not because of the lack of potential adoptees here, but because they can be more certain that the child will never be taken away by some idiot judge.....
Because they already had their baby started.
This was not contraception. It was the destruction of their own living offspring. Living? Yes. If it weren't living, they wouldn't have "had" to kill it, would they?
Well said.
I stole it from Mother Teresa, or at least from a bumpersticker!
Another good one from Mother Theresa (we have the bumper sticker)
"How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers?"
We only attempt to rationalize when we know in our heart we're wrong.
"This is our decision, our sense of what is right, our individual accountability. It's what I think of when I hear that amorphous term "pro-choice," the choice to live as I see fit, to make decisions and deal with the consequences."
Elsewhere he mentions how they didn't make the decision casually.
The sentences above illustrate quite clearly the position of the pro-death, no responsibility world view. No will but their own will be done. Though they write about being willing to accept the consequences they do not in fact believe there are any consequences to speak of and if there are they can go to the free clinic and get a pill or a shot or some other quick fix and then forget about it. As to not making the decision casually - I was one of these people and I lived with and among them for the first half of my life. The level of "thoughtfulness" (a favorite word among these people) went something like this:
Wife: I missed my period.
Husband: Oh, %*@##! Are you sure?
Wife: Yes. And it feels like all the other times.
Husband: Well, ya gotta do something about it!
Wife: I'll call the doctor and see if he can get me in this week and end it.
Husband: We have the trip to Aspen this weekend. Damn! What about that morning-after pill? You can't be too far along.
Wife: Yeah, I'll try that first. Where is that phone number?
