I have been saying for months that we are in 1939+/- all over again. That is the history major in me along with a few other things.
Problem is that unless one follows history and current events, most people are asleep to what is really happening.
And unfortunately, many people old enough to remember the WWII era are no longer with us.

My thoughts exactly, I listened to David Gold(a freeper) and he spent 3 hrs. on it. I guess some talkies know what is important and the rest just need an easy story.

in San Diego, a large number are Chaldean. They have their own churches and speak Aramaic, the language of Christ.

I saw one of those bumber stickers the other day myself. My first thought was Episcopalian? Sad thought, because I do know a few conservative Episcopalians who have not left yet. And I do say "yet".
Truth is we just left a church because of a leftist pastor. He didn't have a shirt to prove his views either. And we were not in what one would call one of the left denominations.

Between a rock and a hard place -- extortion/kidnapping of Iraqi Christians for money from the west, US especially. But US considers transfers of money to be support for terrorism and have to due it in a way so as not to get in trouble here. US government acknowledges this (extortion) is happening but is not helpful to the families. As many as possible are leaving to Turkey and waiting for papers to US. Some made it to Mexico and got caught and put in Mexican camps in Yucatan until rescued by efforts of groups in the US.

some were thinking he was dead for a few weeks and then he showed up in Venezuela (I think)... and now he has turned the power over to his bro while he has surgery, which I guess he has never done before. Maybe the Cubans think he is never coming back.

I remember not many yr back when many Chaldeans escaped, came up through Mexico to Tijuana. There were held up in a bldg. and one of their priests here and otheres went down and finally got most out as some had relatives in San Diego
