The headine captured my attention. I didn't think the New Orleans image could get any more tarnished.

Shootings tarnishing New Orleans' imageHar! I didn't think it was possible to "tarnish" New Orleans' image.

>>Breakfasting on beignets in the French Quarter....and she had heard nothing about six weekend shooting<<
Sounds Nawlins before Katrina - the French Quarter is another world from the rest of the city.

I know that silver tarnishes, so does copper and I think bronze. I wasn't aware that bovine feces could tarnish.

Didn't N.O. want things put back to the way they were pre-Katrina?
Mission Accomplished!

Move all of the resident to Deetroit. They'll feel right at home except for the winters...

When we went to visit my good friend who was then living in NOLA I was afraid to bring any of my good jewelry. I grew up in NYC!

I stopped in New Orleans with the family a fews years ago. It was part of a cruise package and we were looking forward to the music and cuisine. It was the first tourist trap in America where I had to rush my kids off the street by 4 PM to avoid the half clad transsexuals and overtly demonstrative homosexuals. We tried to duck into the beautiful church, but the kids got caught up in watching all the palm and tarot card readers camped outside the front steps. New Orleans has been lost for a long time.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to go there ever again now that all of their "sterling" citizens seem to have moved back.

Dang... more tarnishing the New Orleans Image, isn't there some kind of some kind of finite limit on that?

I would argue that NO is simply returning to its former self...

I guess it is Bush's fault. Half the population; twice the 'protection' which includes National Guard. . .and the crime rate is higher.
There should be warning signs that Democrats are in 'control' here.
