And Lord knows we can
always trust Uncle Teddy's judgment!
Just ask Mary Jo Kopechne!

What is the point of Teddy writing this??
Is he expecting another USSC to retire soon?

Gee. Criticism from a murderer, adulterer, and drunken embarrassment. How persuasive.
To: BRUMama
All the complaining and explaining can't change the problem.
SCOTUS is now a super parliament and nothing more or less. Politicians in Washington treat it that way and it is only the lumpen proletariat in the hinterlands that don't understand this.

Don't forget David Hackett Souter...he has to be one of the biggest disappointments of the first President Bush's career!
The public should be shown pictures of Ted Kennedy before Mary Jo Kopechne's funeral, the day of her funeral, and the day after to see what a piece of trash he is. He shows up at her funeral with a collar of plaster around his neck...only needed for that short time! His wife also miscarried in 1969 because of his behavior, so it makes you wonder how many lives have been destroyed or lost because of the dishonorable Ted Kennedy!

Well, he would have liked to collect a few rainchecks against the furure Court opinions at the confirmation hearings.

I don't think the HID anything. They told the committee what their judicial philospohy was and now The Swimmer is upset because they did what they said they would do.

Not sure what Kennedy is talking about. He sits on the judiciary committee, asked many questions, got many answers. Kennedy and Kerry tried to filibuster both nominees, and failed because they did not have support (by fellow Democrats). He voted 'no' for both confirmations.
Kennedy must think a retirement is coming soon--perhaps he has some info on that. He is launching a pre-emptive salvo for when the next nominee comes.

Excuse me .. you CAN'T BE MISLED if you are paying attention to what is being said instead of believing your own tripe.
Or .. you CAN'T BE MISLED if you have a working brain .. and not one pickled on alcohol or pond scum.

Has nothing to do with Roberts and Alito.
Kennedy is just shaping the debate for the next Supreme Court nominee so he can say "we were led to believe that Roberts and Alito would be open minded but look what happened, so we will filibuster the new Bush nominee".
Also leads me to believe that Teddy has some insider knowledge that one of the Justices will be stepping down soon, like Stevens or Ginsburg.

I read the title and was worried. Thank goodness it turned out to have been written by New England's most famous swimmer.
