Protesters voice anger over feds' stance (Rescued from Lebanon this week)
The Ottawa Sun ^ | Fri, July 28, 2006 | MEGAN GILLIS

About 200 people confronted police outside Foreign Affairs headquarters, demanding to come inside to tell politicians that Canada is complicit in Israeli "war crimes" against Lebanese civilians.

"It sounds like our politicians are too afraid to hear their own people," Montreal activist Aaron Lakoff yelled into a megaphone outside the Sussex Dr. building yesterday.

"Maybe it's because they know they're supporting apartheid, war crimes and state terrorism. They have to stop their complicit support for Israel's war on Lebanon and Palestine."

A small group was allowed inside to deliver a garbage bag full of letters to Foreign Affairs staff.

Arriving by the busload from Montreal, they waved Lebanese and Palestinian flags and wore stickers bearing the cedars of Lebanon and the slogan "proud to be Canadian."

They were a mix of women in Islamic head scarfs -- many with children in tow -- and young activists, a few of whom taunted a line of Ottawa police and RCMP officers.

They carried placards plastered with photos of bloodied Lebanese civilians or such slogans as: "Two soldiers don't equal one country."

Others spoke directly to Prime Minister Stephen Harper: "Steve -- Stop taking orders from Tel Aviv."

'LONG LIVE INTIFADA'

They chanted "no peace in Beirut, no peace in Ottawa" and -- referring to Palestinian uprisings against Israel -- "Intifada, Intifada, long live Intifada"

The protesters want Canada to condemn Israel, demand it withdraw from Lebanon and welcome Lebanese refugees. They also want Israel to stop occupying lands claimed by Palestinians and release Palestinian and Lebanese political prisoners.

Canadians aren't seeing the full extent of the carnage, said 20-year-old Sawsan Kalache.

She challenged people to check out Lebanese websites to see rockets raining down on fleeing civilians and ambulances carrying the wounded.

"Please open those websites to see those pictures of what's actually happening," she said.

Samira Al-Sayed, 40, collapsed in grief during the demonstration -- two days after fleeing Lebanon's dangerous south.

"She is remembering all the things that happened in front of her -- all the things she saw, all the kids massacred" translated friend Mona Diab, 20. "She says what she saw there made her forget how to speak French or English. She cares only about all the young kids there -- scared and running in the streets."

Apparently whatever she saw also made her forget how to tell convincing lies.

Appears Samira is deafened by the silence of the world's sympathy for the 'Intifada'.

B!tch!

Ah, you have to get several sentences into the article to discover these aren't really Canadians but Hezbollah sympathizers with a Canadian passport. Hopefully for Canada's sake there were no Islamist weapons (suicide children) in the group.

A rather appropriate and convenient vessel for the letters' delivery.

Israel, please finish the job quick so these Hezbo's can go back home, where they will be in range of your military again.

Now that the office aide's can go thru the trash and get all their names and addresses it will be much easier to deport them back! What a considerate bunch!

Long Live The INtifada?

These A$$HOLES are not Canadian, they carry Canadian passports of convenience.

"Proud to be Canadian." as long as I can make Canada into an Islamic state by abuse of the freedom granted to me in this country.

Spank them I say, spank them!

Cut and run Hezbollahs, who want to show their relatives in South Lebanon that they are vindicated in wapping the Great Satan.

"Montreal activist Aaron Lakoff"

Is it the conservative version of political correctness which never allows us to cast stones at plainly self-loathing commie vermin like the one above?

You can't count on one hand the number of specific betrayals faithless scum like 'Aaron Lakoff' are routinely committing but, most of the time, "crickets".

No Kidding! I would lave to see a spanking ordinance for Muslims who decide to wank away at Jews in Canada. It could be a municiple version of interim punishment under "hate speech." 3 paddles each , administered to the butt, while bent over a police rail established for the purpose.

I would publically vote for it.

Spank squads need to go on patrol.

Re: "(Superman wears Jack Bauer pajamas.)"

The '24' character 'Jack Bauer' - who is presumably American - is played by Canadian (still?) Kiefer Sutherland who is the son of well-known Hollywood commie Donald Sutherland & his former wife Shirley Douglas.
Since Kiefer's mother's long ago acting career never really went anywhere, today she spends her time flitting from one far left cause to another mostly in Canada & likely bankrolled by alimony from her ex-husband.

More interestingly, his maternal grandfather was the late Tommy Douglas; a founder & the long-time National Leader of Canada's openly socialist New Democratic Party (NDP).

Douglas was an almost unbelievably - even by leftist standards! - sanctimonious & downright bizarre old crank who today is literally worshiped as a holy icon by the radical left up here. (e.g. if Ann Coulter ever decided to write a Kanuckistani version of 'Godless', ol' Tommy would merit his own entire chapter as one of our left's principal "Saints" - LOL!)
