Isn't this the same guy who said Hezbollah hides behind women and children?

Now it's Israel's fault that terrorists are forced to hide behind women & children?

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

Of course it has. The rest of the 1370 yr history of the bloodlust of Islam is just an optical illusion.

He charged that Israel had used "excessive" and "disproportionate" force in violation of international humanitarian law, and dismissed Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's contention that proportionality is measured in relation to the threat posed by a force.

These people crossed a sovereign nations border, killed a soldier and kidnapped two and Israels wrong for their response. It sounds like an act of war to me.

Jan, this is a war. It ceased being a UN thing when Hizbollah went into Israel and took hostages. The whole idea of fighting a war is to win, and to win often means using disproportionate force. The US civil war and WWI had some battles involving proportionate force and they were extremely costly in terms of human life.

This man (and I use the word loosely) disgusts me. Islamic jihadis are already full of hate. They danced in the street throwing candy and celebrating on 9/11. They're the ones butchering and beheading people around the world and torturing people in ways that normal people can't even hear about without their minds and hearts shattering.

By his words this man is a tacit supporter of evil. Reminds me of C.S. Lewis' statement about evil:

“The greatest evil is not done in those sordid dens of evil that Dickens loved to paint but is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clear, carpeted, warmed, well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices.”
C. S. Lewis

I think history is the best teacher ..

Did Germany or Japan or Italy create a generation of hatred?

Did the US create a generation of hatred by wiping out Germany and Japan and Italy?

Do the Vietnamese hate the US?

Do they hate the French?

Do we hate the Vietnamese?

Did we create any good will by all the humanitarian aid we have given over the years?

"It will create a generation of hatred,"

As opposed to the current generation of what? pure evil? as ong as that hatred is coupled with a healthy dose of fear and respect, hatred sounds like an improvement to me.

With Kofi openly making up the "laser guided bombs" attack, this kind of shuts the door on any credibility the UN may have.

Is this the same wanker that was belly-aching about the "stingy" response to the tsunami?

Yup...it's the same puke.

This bozo Egeland is the same clown who said that the United States was cheap in its aid for the tsunami disaster.

I suggest Mr England read the 83rd Psalm that was found in the Irish bog Psalter. He will discover the enemies listed in that document that was written around 1,000 BC is the same enemies Israel faces today. So Mr. England you cannot blame Israel for something that has been around a hell of a lot longer than you have.

"You cannot invent new kinds of proportionalities. I've never heard that the threat is supposed to be proportional to the response," he said. "Proportionality is there in the law. The law has been made through generations of experience on the battlefield.

Huh?
Sounds like "proportionality" (is that even a word?) is in the eye of the beholder.

"It will create a generation of hatred," he said in an interview held with The Jerusalem Post after he had concluded tours of northern Israel, Gaza and Lebanon.

Muslims exist on hate. There is NOTHING that anyone could do to make them hate any more than they already do. They hate Israel, the USA and ANYONE who is not a Muslim. It's who they are. The don't know love.
