Conservative national security allies of President Bush are in revolt against Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, saying that she is incompetent and has reversed the administrations national security and foreign policy agenda.
The conservatives, who include Newt Gingrich, Richard Perle and leading current and former members of the Pentagon and National Security Council, have urged the president to transfer Miss Rice out of the State Department and to an advisory role. They said Miss Rice, stemming from her lack of understanding of the Middle East, has misled the president on Iran and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
"The president has yet to understand that people make policy and not the other way around," a senior national security policy analyst said. "Unlike [former Secretary of State Colin] Powell, Condi is loyal to the president. She is just incompetent on most foreign policy issues."

Things that make you go, Hmmmmm.....
BTW, I am not a full-out Condi fan in this situation nor in her role as SECSTATE ... just keeping an eye on it all. My concern, as I said to Candor7, is that Israel not cave in to making any more concessions. They are fighting for their suvival and have the right to do so. We may have more news out of the ME today, as Condi has reportedly returned to the region.
But I also pay attention to how people post their threads on FR. A hit-and-run is one thing, an honest discussion another.
She's holding the office of Chief Diplomat, what's she SUPPOSED to say???
When you come up with a way to fire non-performing Federal Civil Service Employees that Washington hasn't thought of, let us know, will ya?
I see, attack the messager, not the message.
Tell me, why are you following the DU playbook unless you ARE a closet DU'er?
You bring in people to oversee them, then you micromanage them to retirement.
As compared to 10 years ago, Bush and company are letting Israel take care or their own business. Ten years ago, Clinton called for a cease fire within 24 hours and negotiated with the terrorists. We see now how well that worked out. I would like to see Condi continue to give Israel global political cover while the IDF kills every Hezbollah they can find and kicks the rest of those goat humpers back to the 19th century.
Finish them for good. Don't invite them to the table to negotiate. Kill them.
Perhaps he is a troll. Afterall he just signed up three weeks ago
And do the same with Hamas.
I don't give a sweet $hit what the Arabs want. They need to get on, recognize Israel as a state, and settle down inside their own territory peacefully. The US role is to give them every opportunity, and Condi is forwarding that. It is Israel's role to destroy them down to the last woman and child if that is necessary, and it may come to that.Few realize that the LORD is leading the IDF with a pillar of fire as we s[eak. But I hope the total destruction of Palestine may not happen, but will condone it if the Palestinians do not seize the day of their own national salvation.
The USA will do the same by condoning such possible destruction, but Condi is a necessary interlocutor in this process, and may God keep and bless this extraordinary American!
It is entirely possible that one day she may be our President, and rightly so.
Their problem? Warhead miniaturization. But it's only an engineering problem. Not something that's insurmountable for the Parthians.
BTW, Hezzies claim a new Iranian rocket, the Khaibar-1, to have hit Afoula, south-southeast of Haifa. Could be agitprop. I'd wait for confirmation from IDF Homefront Command.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Sorry, I think Condi's doing a great job.
the LORD is leading the IDF with a pillar of fire: I like this image.
This administration may not be as pro-Israel as you would like to think, is all I am trying to say.
It means that even with all of the stupid, foolish mistakes they can still walk the path of peace. This gives hope to the Palestinians who otherwise will fight for their very lives and what soil they have left to them. An enemy with hope fights less effectively than on what Sin Tzu called the "killing ground" where existence is relegated to the fight exclusively.
Of course soon it will be too late, for once the IDF ramps up to full strength, there will be no further possibility of a Palestinian state. The Jews have been there and done that. It did not woork. We are approaching that tipping point.
So this possibility is being offered as long as possible through Condi. And what Hamas does is it's choice. If they chose the path of death, no one will be around to do any burials. All will die.
Thats what happens when the Lord of Zion leads his people with a pillar of fire.
So Hamas had better get serious. Hezbollah will die as the Angel of Death moves among them. It gives me the shivers to know that this war is like ancient times, terrible, terrible. The hills of Tyre again will be washed with blood. The Lord arranges things so that Hezbollah will die by the swords they themselves create.
Omert must understand not to go against the Lord, if he does he will likely die suddenly and tragically.
The knesset has now within it the influence of the Lord and his presence has been called by the wailing and spilling blood of his children, whom he has never forsaken.
This is why the efforts of the diplomats are so feeble in appearance. I do not believe they understand what they are up against. The best they can do is get out of the way lest they be consumed by the primordial force of the IDF which will be synchopated with nature itself.
And all this from me, a man of little "religion" but I understand "drala" the ancient concept of gods as natural forces. And I sense a change in the "force." Feeeeel it Luke!
LOL, but no joke.
Here is a "pillar of fire" speech for you.
You seem to know a lot, and I myself am intuitive. My only fear has been that Olmert would sell out the Jewish people, if not (I hope) for the true Lions of Israel within who can sweep him aside.
You need to copy and save your post as it is magnificent in wisdom as well as the way you sweep from the sublime to the earthly. And, truly, save it on your homepage!
The best they [the "diplomats"] can do is get out of the way lest they be consumed by the primordial force of the IDF which will be synchopated with nature itself.
Agree! I have been sensing this the past few days, hope Condi et al realize ....
