Someone ought to remind these morons that they placed themselves in danger.

"The committee is asking the U.S. District Court in Detroit to order the U.S. government to request a cease fire and to stop shipments of weapons or any other military support to Israel during the evacuation of U.S. citizens from Lebanon."LOL. The IDF must be kicking some butt...

They should, as a favor to the US government for pulling their collective butts out of the fire, go back to Lebanon and distribute humanitarian supplies that WE are providing.

Mostly what they would love is to stop the shipments to Israel.
That would be their contribution to jihad.
The rest is just fluff.

The US has no obligation to do this. Anything they decide to do is an accomodation. This will thrown out by any judge save those in the ninth circuit.

What did this asshate have to say about U.S. citizens in Haifa and Safed?
That's what I thought.

The committee is asking the U.S. District Court in Detroit to order the U.S. government to request a cease fire and to stop shipments of weapons or any other military support to Israel during the evacuation of U.S. citizens from Lebanon. LOL, maybe these turbans ought to study the US constitution. The Judicial Branch has no jurisdiction over US foreign and security policy. That is entirely an executive and legislative branch function.
And here's an idea, don't vacation in terrorist hot spots next time.

Especially after four State Dept. warnings in the last two years. Not to mention no US airlines fly to Beirut anymore.

A leading Arab-American advocacy group has sued the U.S. government, claiming that it failed to protect American citizens from the fighting in Lebanon. And what law was broken here?

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, I doubt many Lebanese are part of that Committee. Most Lebanese (especially if Christians) bristle if someone calls us Arabs. The Arabs on the committee have tried repeatedly to get the Lebanese population to join them, but we have steadfastly rejected them. So you have a Muslim organization suing the US on behalf of Lebanese who didn't ask for it.
