Oldie and a Goodie
To: B4Ranch; All
<< .... one of Googles cofounders is an immigrant from the former Soviet Union. His parents managed to escape that totalitarian state in the early 1970s and bring him with them. And how doe he show his gratitude? He collaborates with the (Peking Predators) in silencing genuine dissenters (not the phony ones we have in the West) and joins with the Democrats, the same party that opposed those Reagan policies that brought down the Soviet empire. Now the little snot is censoring conservatives. And this self-righteous bigot had the nerve to invent the slogan "Do No Evil."
I think he ought to change it to: "(Google) Cooperates With (every known) Evil."

>>As a result, they notified one of my publishers, Frank Salvato, the managing editor of The New Media Journal, that he had been dropped from Google. And, sadly, they listed me as the reason. I say they although their names could be Mohamed and Achmed but I will never know who wants to censor his paper. So, even though its a huge violation of our First Amendment's guarantee to a free press, do they care? Hell no!<<
Well, Google a private company and can link or not link to what they want in their listings, much like Free Republic can link or not link to the articles they choose.
But it looks like New Media Journal still comes up as the first google hit

Google is evil.
They are the New York Slimes of the Internet.
They are arrogant, they hate America, and will do anything to help America's enemies.
No surprise their stock is down from from it's 475 year's high to under 400.
Even on a very positive trading day like today, when the Dow is up over 120 points and the Nas up 30, Google is still down for the day.

If Every Freeper Googled the NY Times 100 times a day would it cost the NY Times money or contribute to their add revenues???
Anyone know the answer?

I'm not sure but I think each hit would cost them as they pay to be in the higher brackets

Its based on whether they advertise with Google and whether you click on the ad, not just the listing in the search.

"I quit using Google a long time ago"
What do you use instead? Is it as good as Google? I ask because I use Google sometimes dozens of times in a day in the course of my work.
"I never could stand holier than thou pedantic prigs"
Yes, such people are a severe trial to those of us who really are holier.

If you mean how do you get them to change the search results that takes a good bit of economic leverage - China was able to do it for searches origininating in China by threatening them with loss of advertising from the whole country.
