This office got raided after Halper gave D'Amiano the checks. As per court docs, these monies were suppose to be a “reasonable” offers so the farmland wouldn't get developed.

Top Democrats fault feds' probe of fund-raising

March 2, 2004
FBI agents raid the offices of the Democratic State Committee in Trenton and of Crabiel in Milltown. They seek information about D’Amiano and Halper. Two days later, agents subpoena the governor’s office and the state Treasury and Agriculture departments.

thanks. I am wondering why the federal AG's office didn't charge McGreevey with one crime committed during his scandalous administration.

There was a brief blurb before Farber was appointed. The blurb was non specific to any cases and was issued from a response from Chris Christie to a federal office. It was something like no charges brought to any politicians due to file mix ups or something equally as lame. It is getting harder to find info on line since are papers aren't letting anyone post info anymore. And they don't stay posted long enough to get cached either.

"Time IS tangible."

How is it tangible? If you were sitting in the middle of space looking at the rotating earth, would you know night and day? No. Would minutes mean anything to you? What if you were born on the Moon, on the dark side? You would never see a rotation except around earth. What if you were floating outside of Pluto? Would the galaxy have any significance?

Time was a creation of man to plan. It supposedly it all begin with the flooding of the nile. That is, trying to anticipate when to plant, and when to harvest. It is a means to understanding your surroundings. But it is artificial.

The true nature of man is the growth and eventual molecular degradation of the body during a state of living. We developed a means of time to be aware that we have an average of 78 years for our current state because, we measure it by our condition on earth, and our apparent need to sleep during the night the earth rotates. Why? Because you can't harvest at night anyway. Too dark. So why not lay down and take a breather. Starting at age six, we chose to create our educational systems to be 18 or 22 years (or a little more if you want to specialize) to be the prime learning years. Why? Because that is when we need to be primed mentally and physically to reproduce at the highest and purest biological state.

What is most important is the energy source in our body, aka the soul. How our life experiences are conducted molds our soul and conscieness for a later transition after our physical body gives it up. Energy is neither created or destroyed (2nd law of thermodynmics). It changes. As does our soul. It moves on to somewhere else. A place of bliss, or a place of forever exploited potential that failed to make a difference.

"Just as the freedom of speech gives people the right to say what others may not want to hear and that may be offensive to some, so the right to property does not guarantee that others have to approve of the use or aesthetics of the land."

Agreed. As long as there isn't a meth house next door, or rats are moving to my backyard, okay. But if otherwise, and I could be jailed for burning it down then it is the local authority's purview, which I pay taxes to, to take it down. It shouldn't be done to build high-end condos to lined the pockets of a developer.

Christie wants to be governor, I guess he doesn't want to rock the boat.

It sounds like discostu is trying to justify a personal life experience here...

You are right Calpernia -- some things will NEVER be for sale, and I've been in some pretty dire straits in my life... It all depends on the person and their morals.

If discostu was correct there wouldn't be martyrs and such -- your life is the highest price to pay, and even faced with that choice MANY humans have "turned the offer down". Sorry discostu, I think you are wrong -- it's not simply "human nature".

"But think of how readily you sell your time, heck often times you probably PAY people to take your time, if you go to movies or concerts or sporting events. If you're willing to sell that, if you're willing to pay people to take it even, then obviously everything else is negotiable."

Wrong again discostu. NOT everything is negotiable, no chance. And, when you say you are Paying people to take your time, it's obvious you are not thinking clearly. They are not stealing your time, and your money, you are paying for entertainment that you choose to spend your time on... Geesh...

If you could see the earth rotate yeah. Then there's the whole aging process thing, whether you're paying attention or not time is passing and you are drawing closer to that inevitable moment when you are no longer listed among the living. All those other questions are just stupid BS trying to hide from reality, which is that you's gonna die.

No time wasn't created by man, time MEASUREMENTS were created by man, time exists whether or not we invent the watch.

No we developed a MEASUREMENT. Your logic says that things didn't exist until we had a ruler to measure them. Point A and point B are a certain distance apart, whether you bother to measure them or not, or how you define and declare those measurements doesn't change it. Same thing with time, time passes with or without measurement and regardless of how that measurement is defined.

Funny the guy who says time didn't exist until we measured it insists that something we can't measure not only exists but is the most important thing in the world. Not saying souls don't exist, just saying your 4th paragraph is a completely inverse logic chain from your first 3.

I got nothing to justify to anybody on an anonymous internet board.

No you are wrong, all things are ALWAYS for sale and always will be.

That's right, your life is the highest price to pay, and these guys paid it. Martyrs made the ultimate sale, they sold EVERYTHING. Self sacrfice is another sale, a sale deserving honor and respect, but still a sale.

Wrong again, EVERYTHING is negotiable. Where did I say anything about stealing time? Oh yeah I didn't, try to stick to the words that were ACTUALLY posted when you start throwing new words in there you just confuse yourself. I pay people to take my time all the time, for my entertainment, for my health, obviously they aren't stealing it because if they were stealing I would use a first person active verb like "I pay".... geesh...

Well then you're reading it WRONG! Only a complete sad stupid moron with no sense of self worth would ever feel a need to justify themselves among a bunch people using psuedonyms. Don't flatter yourself. You will NEVER be in a position where I feel I need to justify myself to you. Only person I've ever felt any need to justify myself to is me, and I shave clean everymorning, never had any trouble looking myself in the mirror.

First of all, if you knew anything about the NJ Supreme Court, er NJ Sopranos, you wouldn't be even thinking about Court.

It's NJ after all.

primarily for recreational open space

This is a furtherance of the argument years ago that single-family homes were an unfair use of the land, since multi-family apartments could make better use of the space. This seems to be along the lines of "it's not fair for one family to have the value of the open space -- we need to take it so everyone can share it."

There is a good reason I turned down a promotion and relocation offer to work at Bellcore in New Jersey. The political corruption smells worse than the air.
