The French have had a taste of terrorism.
------
Yes, at which time they could not wave the white flag fast enough while still pandering to thier Muslim ghettos...nobody fooling anybody when it comes to the Frogs.
Yep, Chirac is a spent force. There is a cool article in the Economist about what a failure his presidency is for France.
Finally a French politician that doesn't act like a French politician.
Or, should I say, a French politician that has a backbone like his forebears
Il n'y a pas d'honte être français. Il y a seulement l'honte dans rester de français.
(There is no shame in being French. There is only shame in staying French.)

Bevalaqua? (sp?). Haven't seen him around in a long while. What's his position, that Israel is "breaking international law?" and is hurting our mission to "win Arab hearts and minds?"
Shock and Oy Vey
I love her. Loved her handling of "Rev." Phelps a couple of weeks ago. I sent word to Fox about how much I appreciate her courage and boldness in sticking up for what is right.
"First on 9/12 we told ze stinking Americans we would support them every step of ze way to end theese terrorism...Bwa ha ha ha ha! Now let`s say Israel has a right to defend itself...Bwa ha ha ha ha!"
"Bwa ha ha ha ha! Oh zeee milk is has run up my nose! BWa ha ha haha!"
Sarkozy isn't amongst the wrong people. There might actually be some hope for France.
---I could be wrong, but I haven't seen any Arabs condemn Hamas, just Hezbollah (Lebanon).---
Perhaps because Hezbollah is a proxy for Iran and Arabs are not looking forward to taking orders from Persians if Iran comes out ahead on this.
Survivors become bitter, which will lead to more retaliation in years to come. Put an end to it right here, right now.
OK, be careful how you tease.........
Gotta Love the Cubbies
That would be great but not likely. Sarkozy has been demonized in the French press as a 'radical' over some of his statements and positions about the rioting Muslim yutes.
Since the total destruction of Hamas would leave Fatah in charge, not likely any of the Arab countries are going to criticize Hamas.
Now that doesn't mean that Hamas is any good, but I think the general expectation of non-Palestinian Arabs is that they will, in the long run, cost them less because they won't steal as much.
This should come as no surprise to anyone for the following reasons:
a.) America has already come out strongly in support of Israel, and President Bush has not minced words about the cause of the warfare, which is Hezbollah - the aggressor (among others)
b.) For France to say anything less would be to appear less "strong" than America, and that is something the French ego has been subjected to WAY too many times, ergo, France will "stand up" for Israel, even if it is with the support of a forged steel made-in-the-USA *spine*.
c.) If France did NOT support Israel in this way, it would appear that France is taking the default position it has taken historically, which is to bow and scrape before another mustachioed bully, as they did with Hitler, and not so long ago, Saddam, and all you have to do is take a gander at Nasrallah (Hezbollah terrorist leader) to see more face fuzz below the nose which somehow makes the French heart go all aquiver. But not this time, so far.
d.) France has to back up that reckless, sabre-rattling cowboy of a President they have, i.e. Jacques Chirac.
They must be serving popsicles in hell today!
I think what's happened is that they've realized that Iran is behind this.
---He added, however, that Israel should exercise restraint in dealing with the threat.---
Restraint is like when the French sell patrol craft to Israel then stop delivery. Lack of restraint is like when Israel comes and takes them anyway.
