Zulima Farber is the State Attorney General of New Jersey. She was appointed to the position in 2006 by Governor Jon Corzine. Under the provisions of the New Jersey State Constitution, Attorney General Farber serves a concurrent four-year term to the governor. She cannot be removed from office, except for cause or by impeachment during her term. Zulima Farber fled Cuba with her siblings at age 16 following the takeover by Fidel Castro. Living at first with an aunt until her parents emigrated, she graduated from Memorial High School in West New York, and worked her way through Montclair State College and Rutgers University Law School.
