If you're looking for a fight in a dark and dangerous neighborhood, you can usually find one. If you pick on the wrong man, you deserve the bloody nose, cracked teeth or broken jaw.
The Arabs who torment Israel ought to have learned by now that they're no match for the Jews, who don't really want to fight but are pretty good at it, anyway. Ganging up hasn't shortened the odds, either. The Arab coalition of the zealots and not always courageous was defeated in 1948, again in 1967 and still again in 1973.
The Israelis make quick work of the Arab combinations every time, usually without popping a sweat.
Not until women and children were recruited to become suicide bombers did the Arab military machine show the world its manliness.
Now the world is on edge again as the war clouds rim the horizon in the Middle East, and this time it's the fruitcakes in Iran who are eager to show their metal, if not necessarily their mettle. The Jews win every time because they understand they have to win every time to survive. The knowledge that your back is at the edge of the cliff, and hungry alligators wait on the rocks below stiffens the resolve even of the reluctant.

BUMP!
I say Israel tear gasses the entire Gaza/West Bank and Frog marches the Palis out of Israel and into the desert...and should build a wall around its post 6 day war boundaries....also think they should make Damascus a radioactive crater as a message for the other Mooselimbs who threaten her destruction.

OMG, that boy is my son's age.
What kind of parents would strap something that looks like that on their child. The horror of that!
Strapping a bomb belt to their child does not horrify them at all, and I just can't believe it! It boggles my mind!
I saw a pundit this morning state emphatically that Israel should apologize to the world. Well hell freezes over, then Israel should apologize. Until then, carry on Israel.
Great article by Wes Pruden. By the way, would the German Chancellor have responded the same way if President Bush wasn't right there with her? Hmmm....
Did the pundit offer any indication of what it thought Israel should apologize FOR? And I guess I don't even need to bother asking whether the pundit mentioned that Hamas and Hizbollah have quite a backlog of overdue apologies piled up.
To be honest, when I heard that come out of his mouth..I changed the channel.
Sick isnt it?
It has been said that the palestinians hate the Jews more than they love their own children.
<< It has been said that the palestinians hate the Jews more than they love their own children. >>
True.
But not strictly true.
In Truth the self-loathingly hesperophobic Arabs hate everyone, including even their own children.
The Jewish Nation just happens to be on Judeo-Christian/Western Civilization's front lines.
Israel is our Civilization's most exposed border fort.
Ps 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Excellent piece by Wes Pruden, summing up the crux of the matter.
The Hezbullah are indeed thugs, but they are operating at the behest of Syria, at the direction of Iran. They are proxies. This guy makes them sound like a street gang, when they are actually an unofficial arm of the Syrian and above all, the Iranian government.
The Lebanese are on the short end of a demographic stick in that the Christian coalitions that basically ran the country in the old days are outnumbered by the fast-breeeding Muslims. The present majority-Muslim government has neither the desire, nor the strength to send Hezbollah packing.
IMHO, the Israelis want to kill as many Hezbullah as possible in Lebanon, and then let the Lebanese government attempt to gain control over its own territory.
Perhaps they would be better off taking out the Syrian Air Force, whatever navy Syria has, and all Syrian command and control infrastructure, perhaps even the Syrian Government. A couple of strategic hits on key Iranian people like Amanonjihad, or whatever that ugly clymer's name is, couldn't hurt.
The Syrians and the Iranians certainly don't care how many Lebanese die. The Israelis are certainly hurting a lot of the right people, but they are not cutting this Hezbullah snake off at the head. It is all too possible that they are going to kill enough of the wrong people to force them to stop, before they stop the problem of Hezbullah.
This is a make-or-break moment for the Lebanese and their Cedar Revolution. If they really want the outside handlers gone then they should welcome the Israeli offensive, painful though it is. The Syrians will talk tough as long as Imanutjob keeps his support coming but Ass-ad knows he is no match for Israel just like his predecessors weren't. Gaza doesn't really represent a 2-front war in the fact that Egypt wants no part of this and they have deployed troops to keep the palesimians out; a perfect forge to break them against if the Israelis choose to. The IAF missed on their first attempt to take out Nasrallah but I don't think he can hide forever. The folks at Mossad are pretty good about getting their man. Israel is doing the work that the Lebanese army was supposed to do under the UN resolution 1559 (I think) and I believe this is why the Lebanese government has acted. You would think that there would be more outrage/rhetoric coming from Lebanon's leaders since the IDF is operating in their country. Although, this will definitely eliminate a big thorn in their side.
