Freeing slaves is different than murder. We live in a society of laws, and we must respect those laws whether or not we agree with them. Turning to the gun is a sure way to anarchy.

Anarchy is a temporary condition that is certain to change the law.
It is also the price a country pays sooner or later for evil just as the Civil War was the price for slavery.
