Stick to what you know not what you think you know

A number of you made observations similar to this, I think that the best answer. Seems too much of our current life is screwed up by people who succeeded in one area assuming that makes them genius in a different field.

Pop stars and Movie Stars assume looking good or being able to sing qualifies them to be social commentators and political activists, failed politicians with room temperature intellects think they are climatologists, Generals think they qualified to be political leaders.

Hey ya all, STICK to what you know. We appreciate your concern but neither want nor need your "help". The best way to "help" is get the heck out of the way.

I never said that the entire human race was going from order to chaos.

What I said was systems go from order to disorder in an orderly fashion.

We are currently experiencing a Chaotic episode.

"The human system is vastly too complex to impose such a limited "1 size fits all" frameworks on them."

True, however, human behavior can be modeled with chaos theory as it's basis for said modeling. I have done so employing polyvariate non-linear dynamic regression analysis.

The key here is to identify the correct variables as well as the appropriate mathematical treatment of each variable in the regression equation. For example, the cubed log of the 2 quarter moving average of consumer durable goods orders lagged 3 quarters.

Need a term for it but I am not familiarly with that period of history. What is the era from Mohammad to about 900 ad called? One thing all the Leftist Dimmhis and Islamo Factists should keep in mind. While they squeal about "Imperialism" or "the Crusades" Islam had it own period of hyper aggressive Imperialism that involved the whole scale forced imposition of their religion on mass populations Christians and Jews. They want atonement for historic wrongs? Where is their atonement?

Huh?

World is about as peaceful and organized as it's ever been, right now, certainly per population.

Everything is, on the whole, looking up. What's the problem?

Exactly. Well said.

He just proved this true..."in time, all things will be exposed". With his wanting to go into the solar systwm, he has exposed himself to be foolish on the subject.

Let's see...you're saying that because Paki has nukes, but we haven't been blown up yet, that the world has nothing to worry about regarding the mixture of nukes, missiles and islam. Okey-dokie, that makes sense.

Go back to your adult conversation.

Hawking's question: "In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?"

Dear Dr. Hawking,

That's an easy one. Just arrest and detain every liberal - leftist - atheist - socialist - progressive - communist - anarchist - democrat and put them in the bottom of the Grand Canton on a bread and water diet. Oh, and naturally all Illegals aliens - in all countries world wide - would also have to be rounded up and shipped back to where they came from. Those who resist also go into the Grand Canyon (they could act as servants for the liberals / leftists).

Everything would then be okey-dokey.

Now, about that Black Hole, Event Horizon thingy. I have a few suggestions ......

The decreasing cost of performing great violence.

Name one weapons system cheaper now then it was 25 years ago? Here is a hint, there are not any. More lethal, more portable? Again none. More casualties? Find it pretty hard to top the 10s of millions killed in Mao's "Great Leap Forward" Stalins Purges or WW2. A Major bombing raid during WW 2 over Tokyo killed more people then both atomic bombs. Average Battles during world war two killed far more people then all of those who dies in Combat for or against the USA since 1980. The trends is DECREASING violence.

Mr. Hawking is a flaming collectivist, a classic narrow thinker, as he is part of the ivory tower scientific community that is government-funded and dependent on high taxation without concern for those earning the money.

Exponential growth in applied scientific achievements will save the world, and vastly extend human lifespan for even those in advanced years.

It is without question that those born today will live as long as they want to.

Consider that in the history of human existence on Earth, it was in 1903 that we first achieved powered flight, albeit for 12 seconds. Only 66 years later, we sent men to the moon and back.

With technology comes responsibility, but I note that computers and the Internet survive today despite the best efforts of hackers and virus-writers.

Islamofacists and Democrats will always be a thorn in the side of the useful, but we will continue to vanquish them with relish and a spirit of infinite optimism.

"World is about as peaceful and organized as it's ever been, right now, certainly per population."

So you would say the the situation in the Gaza strip, Iran and NK is peaceful and organized?

You would say the Chinese are not making in-roads into South America for the express purpose of beating us in an economic war in our own back yard?

You would say that the world situation is calm?

I would say that we are experiencing the building up of a pretty serious chaotic episode in human events and that withing the next 20 years - if not sooner - we're involved in a pretty serious shooting war.

The answer is, the question contains facts not in evidence and is based upon a false premise.

"In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?"

Easy to answer, but first an observation: even exceptionally fine scientific minds are capable of asking "have you stopped beating your wife" questions.

Allow Scientists to gather knowledge and to continue to examine the mysteries of the universe unrestrained.
Allow (holding nose) "journalists" to gather and report news, unrestrained.
Allow entertainers to entertain us.
Allow bureaucrats to continue implementing only the laws that the citizens choose to pass.
Allow our military to continue defending us from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Finally, allow the voting citizens to make all the final decisions without interference from any of the above, under the pain of death.

How can the human race sustain another 100 years?

Arm EVERYONE.

Sounds overly simplistic at first. Nor will it be a "peaceful" solution until after all the smoke clears. But it WILL be a better, more sustainable, more freedom minded world after all the excitement dies down.

After that, let the markets come up with the solutions and entrepreneurs reap the rewards.

Hawking could have asked that same question in 1859 or 1913.

I am sorry until you actually pass Junior High School Reading Comprehension and actually managed to respond in a rational, intellectually honest, adult fashion there utterly no reason for anyone to waste their time responding to you

Your demonstrated habit of knowingly distorting or misrepresenting what a poster said seem to spring from some absurd notion on your part that that makes you sound "Witty" or "Clever". It doesn't. This adolescent posturing of yours simply comes across as obnoxious.

There are Freepers who are willing to talk down to your level to try and help you understand simple intellectual constructions and basic facts. Unfortunately for you, I am not one of them.
