He added, "N. Korea's Taepodong-2 was fired at their third or fourth launch, but apparently failed." Another government official said, "N. Korea fired Scud, Nodong, and Taepodong missiles in sequence."

In an official statement, read by Suh Joo-suk, the Chief Presidential Aide on Unification, Foreign Affairs and Security, S. Korea government announced that six N. Korean missiles including Scud, Nodong, and Taepodong-2 were fired.
The launches started at 5am(S. Korean time,) at Taepodong, Hwa-dae County, N. Hamkyong Province, and 3:32am at the launch site located at Kitaeryong, Anbyun County, Kangwon Province. He went on to say that Taepodong launch was apparently failed. One Taepodong-2 was fired and the remaining five were made up of Scud and Nodong missiles.
