As for the love fest the Republicans have with the NRA, I just can't see Jesus packing a semiautomatic on the side of his donkey.

My understanding of the New testament shows he won't be riding anything when he returns, let alone carrying anything. In fact while he was on earth I doubt he carried anything then as well. He was far to busy spreading his word.

/sarcasm

You can sum up the ignorance of these people with their misguided notion that Congress is the supreme law of the land, not the Constitution.

He has appointed Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices and, in so doing, he has created a Supreme Court to be an arm of his government absent the usual and customary checks and balances.

I must be living in a parallel universe. I could have sworn Roberts and Alito were vetted by the bipartisan Senate Judiciary Committee and then by the full Senate.

The Supreme Court of his Land has removed the protections of the Fourth Amendment by allowing unlawful police searches of our homes, all evidence thus obtained to be used against us in a Court of Law.

How does she connect this to something President Bush has supposedly done?

Perhaps Beth meant this article to be satire?

Sounds more like she's in favor of the Second American Revolution. If that's the case then I say bring it on. But let's keep it as bloodless as possible, OK?

Wow, a liberal comparing President George W. Bush to King George the Third of England! I have never seen this comparison before! How original!

We've reached the point where it's easy to spot us liberals.

We're the ones whose heads are popping off, leaving bloody little neck stumps behind. We're pumping out the word, "But … but … but …" over and over in sheer frustration at the absurdity of it all.

I think this means we can defeat them by playing Gene Autry music.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. By use of a device called the "signing statement," he has placed himself above more than 750 laws enacted since he became king, including the anti-torture law passed by Congress to correct a most grievous wrong.

1) I can assume that you were up in arms about the several hundred "Executive Orders" Bill Clinton used to usurp the will of the people? If not, why the hell should I care what you think now?

2) The Founders, whom you ripped off for the boilerplate of this sham, enacted several dozen types of "Sedition Laws" that persecuted those they felt were soft on England, and who were a threat to the stability of the newly created nation of America. Clearly, they had no problem with extraordinary actions in extraordinary times when the nation was at risk from without and within. If they throught that special care was needed to protect us, why the hell should I listen to you?

Is there even one of these Leftie Lunatics who ever had an original idea?

I did something like this nonsense for 7th grade history class. If Mz. Quinn wanted to be clever, she would have written this addressed to "Comrade Howard Dean".

Well, Reagan's words belong to all of us now, I guess, so you can post it if you like. :)

But as for this article, let's not forget - there's huge differences between 1776 and now - and W is not George III. For starters, he (and his party) submit themselves to the voting public regularly for approval - and (so far) keep winning.

I suspect THAT's what people like this writer are really so angry about.

Dear Beth,

You are an idiot, studing to be a moron and failing. President GW Bush was elected by the votes of 64 MILLION Americans. You lost. You do not get to throw a childish tempertantrum every time your favorite set of politicans lose an election. That is why we have elections. You are a complte and total ignornat bigot with not the slightest shred of intellectual or moral courage. You are a spoiled brat throwing a petulent fit because your personal political whimsy was not chosen by the voters.

The person who want "to be King" here is NOT GW Bush. It is YOU with your hysterical and psuedo intellectual childish posturing. You want to impose your personal whimsy on everyone around you. To bad for you we are a Consituional Republic, not your fantasy Dictatorship of Beth. Your side lost the arguement and the election, get over it twit
