Chicagoland probably had a population of over 4.5 million in 1960. Park Ridge had a population of 32,659, including 5 African-Americans and 31 persons of other races. 1,585 "foreign born" people lived there in 1960 - but I doubt many were kids whose parents were out on Sundays picking crops in the nonexistent fields of upper middle class Park Ridge.

In 1960 there would have been a large number of post WWII European immigrants in the mix.

That's why I put "immigrants" in quotes. I doubt there were many foreign-born residents of Park Ridge picking strawberries on local farms all Sunday, while leaving their kids at church for Hillary! to mind. This sounds like another Hillary! whopper.
