I could probably name ten Dem compromises of national security for every one of those. And here's a news flash: The same GOP Reps who were mad about those things are the ones standing up against the amnesty bill, and you're ready to throw them under the bus. Talk about no good deed going unpunished!
If you believe that war can be waged - much less won - on an intangible like "terror," you're just as gullible as the libs who thought War on Poverty made sense.
Oh, you're one of those. Calling this war the War on Terror is about the same as calling the European Theater in WWII the War on Anti-Semitism. We aren't going to wipe anti-Semitism out, but we took care of Hitler and Mussolini. In the same way, we may never be completely rid of the terror tactic, but we can break Islamofascism.
As for the civil liberties stuff, please feel free to list a restriction on your civil liberties by this government that either (a) can't be justified in the face of the current enemy or (b) surpasses the restrictions imposed by Lincoln and FDR.
Good people must stop voting for the "lesser of two evils" and start creating the alternative.
1. You are not talking about voting for the lesser of two evils. You're talking about punishing solid conservatives because there are some idiots in the tent. That's for babies.
2. You have no clue how politics actually works. Read "If It's Not Close They Can't Cheat" by Hewitt.
