Michigan's economy is really hurting and Granholm has never put forth a plan. Unemployment is currently at about seven and a half percent. People are fleeing the state. To some degree Granholm has inherited the shrinking auto industry, but she has not taken the bull by the horns and lead.
DeVos is an unknown who inherited all of his wealth from the Amway fortune; yet most I know want a change.
Although we don't really believe in polls. I would say the polls are saying the exact opposite. Amazing how the polls are positive for the democrats even when the republican is leading.
Isn't Granholm from Canada?
So much for the vaunted blowout of the GOP this election cycle.
Indeed she is. If you're not from here, it might amuse you to know that there's some local brouhaha about banning canadian garbage importation (one of the few profitable industries left in MI). Funnily enough, I had a petitioner come through my neighborhood, wanting me to help "get Canadian trash out of Michigan". Sadly, I was not quick-witted enough to ask him if he was working for the DeVos campaign :)
Good luck up there, sounds like you need it. We have a Kinky, Grandmaw and Perry running here.
yes
And a major lib and I think people are ready for a change
At least I am hoping and praying and going door to door for DeVos for!
Yes, and the MSM was not happy about that...she could not run for President.
Not my definition of close, when the incumbent is on the losing side. Not to worry, though, vote fraud in Wayne County will keep her in office.
LOL...you could make a nice yard sign or bumper sticker.
Granholm has really screwed things up. Of course, no matter who wins, the UAW will still run the state.
Time for the Rats to turn out the vote...early and often. And it's also time to get the dead voting, as well as felons and illegal aliens. If there's one thing the Rats can do well it's stealing elections.
DETROIT -- Michigan is home to six of the fastest-shrinking cities in the United States, according to population estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.
Detroit, Lansing, Flint, Ann Arbor, Warren and Grand Rapids all placed in the top 60 among cities with more than 100,000 people as ranked by percent of loss. Demographers note the changes are estimates and represent a one-year, 2004-to-2005 snapshot. Still, Michigan's slumping economy is likely driving the trend.
"We've all seen the numbers in terms of job losses; it's really not surprising," said Jim Rogers, the data center manager for the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments. Rogers said population tends to follow employment trends.

This is great news for us in Michigan. Most of the Dems live in those areas of Michigan. Maybe there's hope for this state yet.
Well at least this Dick's last name isn't Swett or Posthumous.
Very funny. The joke's on MI if Granholm wins again.
Yep, that's why Michigan is the only state in the Union that has these drastic economic problems. It's Bush's fault. She has had almost 4 full years to do something about it and she waited till this year to come out with an economic plan. She should call it her "Anemic Plan"
De Vos?
When Jenny comes along,
You must whip her.
Whip her, Whip her good.
