Miss Fryrear, 40, said she faces more discrimination as an "ex-gay" than she did as a lesbian. "It seems that gay and lesbian activists want me to go into the closet. I have been called things I could never repeat to my mother.

This is not just an issue of tolerance towards homosexuals. It is an active movement encouraging kids to commit homosexual acts.

I think rational wisdom would allow them their right to express their feelings. Why wouldn't they be allowed?

I get a Christmas card each year with human faeces smeared on it."

I wouldn't hang that one on the mantle.

Seriously, this is rather queer behavior for someone who calls himself "gay," isn't it?

Mr Chambers, 34, was drawn to men from boyhood. "I didn't choose to feel gay. When I was 11, I found myself struggling with same-sex attraction issues. I was told by a school counsellor that there was nothing I could do about it. I had to accept I was gay.

Excellent point. Mr. Chambers we don't chose our feelings, we chose our perspective and our behavior. You do not have to act on the LIE you're being fed by evil.

Its all about increasing the odds.

Right now, a homosexual has about a 2% chance of finding another homosexual and that one could be an ugly duck... to improve their odds, they want to teach children its OK to be homosexual.

This will make it easier for them to solicit 15 year olds at their most vulnerable point in life. Imagine some girl doesn't get asked to the prom and she is crying and sad when her homosexual friend asks her to go. I have seen so many straights pulled into that lifestyle during a breakup or rebound. Once in, they are adored and pulled in by the group till they can't get out.

How did we as a nation ever survive as long as we did when schools simply taught us how to read, write, do math and science and maybe know a little history and geography?

the problem is, why are we involving schoolchildren in this debate at all?

This should be illegal.

The whole gay sub-culture is such an unhappy group to be with. I have believed for years that homosexuality is a personality disorder. It has never been proven to be genetic and there have been several studies that have shown no gene link. Sadly those type of studies are never given much press......not on their agenda. My Dr/Psychologist friend says that homosexuality, in her world, is considered a variation on normal. The field of psychology has lost so much credibility by serving the gay community and putting forth their views as fact. Sad state of affairs in our world.

Hm, another oppressed group. You think the ACLU will also get its arms around this one?

What amazes me is that in every other area of human behavior, to the point of denying that there are any universal human behavioral tendencies, liberals deny that any behavior is inborn and claim that all behavior is cultural or, even if it isn't, that it can be changed and reformed -- except sexual orientation.

It's not about gay vs. exgay. It's about gay Vs. shut the F up you don't have a right to be heard.

As the article says, there is no genetic test or procedure (experimental or otherwise) that can determine one's sexual orientation. When people claim to be gay and we believe them, what we're really doing is taking them at their word. We believe their claim, we believe their testimony and we believe their declaration that they are gay.

But there are some people who are suddenly skeptical when one claims to be ex-gay. They don't believe the ex-gay claim, they don't believe the ex-gay testimony nor their declaration that they are ex-gay.

When somebody uses a certain standard to measure the credibility of what one group says, but then refuses to use the same standard to measure the credibility of what another group says--thereby ignoring the claims of the second group (ex-gays)--he should ask himself why he believes one group and not the other... This is a double standard.

Angered by what they see as the promotion of homosexuality in schools, thousands of American parents are banding together to demand that their children be taught that it is possible to stop being gay.

Indeed, exgays do exist. For those who aren't aware of it, checkout the I Do Exist video.

Being gay is currently popular, carrying with it both cachet and currency in the hip world, like all fashions, it will wane and likely wax again as generations struggle to contend with the maturation process.

Exodus has a list of real stories from ex-gays, and more.

There's also Mike Haley's Great Escape and Richard Weller's "confession"

Homosexuals are a bane to civilization. They are a cult of the depraved.
