Two U.S. soldiers missing, one dead in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military reported that two U.S. soldiers were missing and one was dead after their traffic control point was attacked near Yusufiyah Friday night.

After hearing an explosion and small-arms fire a U.S. military quick-reaction force responded to find the one soldier killed but no sign of the other two.

A search was under way.

Start leveling nearby houses until somebody starts remembering some useful information!!

Man I wish we could put some sort of tracker on all our soldiers.

Agreed, you'd think the military would start implanting (removable?) GPS-trackable chips in each soldier while in Iraq. I'd want one!

This is NOT good. Something seems to be missing in this report though because I can't even imagine only having 3 men at a checkpoint with no backup.

Does anyone know what happened to the two helicopter crewmen who's bodies were not found at the crash site of their shot down or crashed helicopter? this happened a couple of weeks ago but I do not remember hearing any follow up.
