(Top News):
North Korea, observed through various methods of investigation, has now completed all launch preparations for the 3,500 mile-range Taepodong-2.
Japanese TV (Window Media Player 300k streams below), report on (16) that the multi-staged rocket has been positioned on the launch pad in Musudan-ri, along North Korea's northeast Coast on the Sea of Japan.
Refueling of the Taepodong-2 ICBM, capable of hitting US territory, has been completed. Japan is on alert and US bases in Korea and Japan are also in a heightend state of observation.
The rocket test could occur as soon as in a few days' time. Other observers state it may be a DPRK bluff in advance of negotiations, however preparations that have been observed appear to be serious.

This would be a great time for "Star Wars" practice with our improving intercept capability.

Well, as long as it's not the notorious "long dong", we should be OK.

this is a serious thread.
we've got threads coming out our ears, w/the usual endless, tiresome repeated jokes about the missile's name. do you have anything substantive to add? thanks.

Millions starving, sick, and oppressed - all with the blessings of the previous administration (and with not a lot of dissuasion from the current admin.), yet they have the money and resources to assemble an ICBM and just test fire it.....
I think the REAL countdown is to when we bend over and try to bribe them with food and aid....in exchange for "discontinuing" their nuke program....just like the Clinton administration...

Exactly. And should they get too carried away with their missile test, we can always give them more carrots. It worked under clintoon, didn't it? Didn't it?!

One of the TV reports mentioned US Military-in-Japan preparedness regarding this possible 'event', off the west coast of Japan, but even though the Japanese media said where, I shall not report that here.
Hoping the video streams work for you and others.

I was thinking the same thing. it would be a great opportunity to test the patriot system. If, and as soon as it leaves Korean airspace, it's fair game. Then again, It shouldn't be allowed to clear the launch tower.

"Refueling of the Taepodong-2 ICBM"
Where has this missle flown before, that it is being "refueled"?
When it's the 1st time isn't it just "fueling"?
And as for guessing when it might launch, check their weather.
