:-D
Thanks for the ping.
One of the biggest benefits of HS that I have found is simply the amount of time my kids spend with me. The other day I went to a business breakfast and had no choice but to take them with me. I seated them at a nearby table, ordered plenty of food, and they were awesome! The other women commented how their kids would never have been so quiet and well-behaved. My kids are 4 and 7. I think one of the reasons for their behavior is simply that I am always around to teach, correct, and model. In public school they would be getting all that from their peers.
Re: this article. I believe there will come a time when homeschooling in America won't be so easy. Here in Arizona we have an optimal HS atmosphere; we're lucky. I'm thankful for the HSLDA for not only getting in the trenches and fighting for HS rights but looking ahead for potential infringement on our HS rights.
