George Soros failed in a bid to overturn an insider-trading conviction at France's highest appeals tribunal, but vowed to pursue an appeal.......
The Court of Cassation, the tribunal of last resort in France, yesterday upheld a March 2005 judgment that Soros violated the law when he bought Societe Generale SA shares in 1988 with knowledge that the bank might be a takeover target.
The Hungary-born financier....has been fighting the case for 17 years, will appeal......The verdict came as the 75-year-old former financier turned his attention from his investing career to political and charitable activities.

If Soros was a conservative finance mogul convicted of insider trading the Left would call for his head. That they instead hold him up as a hero reveals the hypocrisy of the Left.

OK, so he's guilty. What's the penalty in France (for anything?) Slap Soros upside the head with a wet poisson and he's off on his merry? ; )

So George is Enron-esque. How sweet. The money being used to support moveon.org, and his other liberal causes was criminally obtained.

He has to have spent far more to defend himself than the potential fine. There must be some business penalty that kicks in if he is convicted.

We've known that for a long time----Soros has setup phony non-profits to "facilitate democracy" all over the world that are nothing but money laundering vehicles for crooked heads of state and multi-billionaires like himself looking to evade taxes.

It will not happen, but wouldn't it be great if the Frogs really bust $oreA$$ and start the deconstruction of his evil empire.
If that happened, I might call off my boycott of Frog Products for a day and buy a very expensive bottle of French Champagne to toast $oreA$$ going to a French Jail.

Some of the funniest discussions I have had with left wing lunatics has been when I steered the discussion to $oreA$$ and refused go away.
Inspite of decades of their rants about evil rich Republicans, they refuse to talk about the really evil super rich $oreA$$. If something happened to $oreA$$ and his foundations, the Rat party would have a hard time surviving.
