The conservative "crack down" continues. A bit of political Jujitsu to file in liberal Travis County (I guess given Texas' goofy arrangement to make TC the legal jurisdiction for the Texas Legislature, they would have to file in TC,) knowing that it is likely going to be give to a liberal Democrat judge, who will love to use the lawsuit to hurt Republican officeholders.
Although pressing forward on getting the budget under control and implementing real tax savings is the route to reinvigorating the conservative base thus helping ensure Republican candidates win in November, the incumbents in Austin are going to see this as a threat to their egos and fight it tooth and nail. They will continue to slander those pushing this as anti-Republican, even if it is the farthest thing from the truth. Hopefully there will be some wise council in Austin that will advise them to set their egos aside and get back on the conservative side instead of drilling holes in the hull of the Texas GOP.
