Just seen on the Seattle Area 10:00 PM News - a Mt. St Helens Ashfall Advisory has been issued. All they had was a red banner at the bottom of the screen with the advisory. No other news yet to report. Maybe they can expand on the news at 11:00.

Imagine it is too dark for photos.
Is this common?
Crap...my husband will be flying near there.
It's Bush's fault!!! We'll have global cooling to ruin AlGore's movie!! /s
Hope everone will take care, breathing that junk in won't be very good.
I don't think they'll be any problem flying, they'll just fly around the ash cloud if necessary. I live about 45 miles south of it and things seem normal here. No alerts that I've seen on local news for Portland airport.

Thanks.
You're welcome. They just had a short blurb on a Portland station and basically said it's no big deal.
This causes global weather changes and has in the past.
I hope all are out of harms way.
"Looks like the same sort of dome building event that happened last month."
While doing research on volcanos, I have noticed that larger events seem to fall close to the new moon or the full moon. We are approaching the full moon, so it would not suprised me to see more activity at Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Merapi in the next few days.
There was one missing from your links from the end of May.
It's way too cloudy and dark to see anything tonight I'm afraid.
I noticed the St. Helen's cam has been down the last three days, anyone no why?
I look at it fairly often being such a beautiful Mt. in the PNW I enjoy the view the cam provides.
Wow, I remember back in 1980 when Mnt ST Helens errupted.

The view from Johnson Ridge. Will show nothing untill morning though.
