Three of the 12 are also alleged to have imported a firearm and prohibited ammunition into Canada for the benefit of a terrorist group in Mississauga, Toronto, Fort Erie and elsewhere in Ontario, between March 1, 2005 and 14 August 2005. They are Fahim Ahmad, Mohammed Dirie and Yasim Abdi Mohamed.
These three men face a related charge of collecting three prohibited weapons and 182 rounds of ammunition for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activity during the same time period.
Ahmad, Amara, Ansari, Jamal, James, Durrani, Chand alias Shakur, Ghany and Khalid, are charged with receiving training for the purpose of enhancing the ability of a terrorist group to carry out terrorist activity, in Mississauga, Toronto, the Township of Ramara, and elsewhere in the province, between Nov. 27, 2005, and Dec. 31, 2005.

The list of criminal charges facing the five suspects charged as youths has not yet been made public.
On Monday, a top RCMP official predicted additional arrests were likely in Canadas largest post-9/11 counter-terrorism operation.
When we find people that we feel in any way participated, aided or facilitated (crimes), they will be arrested, said RCMP assistant commissioner Mike McDonell.
While he stressed that further arrests were not imminent, McDonell did say were not done yet.
Im saying theres a very real possibility there will be more arrests in the future.
Fifteen of the 17 terrorist suspects are scheduled to make their second court appearance Tuesday at a Brampton courthouse.
Peel police will be increasing security and ... people attending court can expect a certain amount of delays, said Const. Jennifer Bryer.
On Saturday, the 15 made their first court appearance under heavy guard. Three checkpoints were established around the courthouse, the final two guarded by tactical officers armed with M16 assault rifles.
The possibility that Crown lawyers would divulge information about the groups intended targets in court Tuesday could not be ruled out, said McDonell.
I dont present the case the Crown does that but thats an educated guess as a police officer.
Unconfirmed reports have cited the CSIS office in Toronto and Parliament Hill as targets.
On Monday, federal officials said alternate sites for the House of Commons have already been chosen in case a terrorist attack knocks out the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings.
Prime Minister Harper called U.S. President George W. Bush on Monday to express Canadas thanks for the co-operation received from U.S. authorities.
A source had told The Canadian Press that information provided by U.S. officials played a part in the arrests.
News of the arrests brought a mix of praise and criticism from American officials. Some applauded the arrests, while critics said lax immigration laws have made Canada a haven for terrorists.
Harper vowed to counter those inaccuracies, and praised the Opposition Liberals during question period for what Canada has done to address terrorist threats.
Over the past several years, efforts have been made by governments on both sides of the House to make sure our security and police forces are working more co-operatively weve strengthened our laws, Harper said in the Commons.
The last budget also strengthened resources towards police and security, and we have a lot of confidence in the job that the RCMP, CSIS and our police and security forces are doing in this country.

It's Bush's Fault!
I was overjoyed when he was able to shed the "opposition leader" title.
Boy did the DUmmies quiet up about the so called "Illegal Wiretaps" as soon as this story broke.
But Anne Murray's got better legs [at least she used to].
Oh no! Don't tell me that NSA has been illegally listening to Muslim terrorist phone calls again. The Democrats will be furious. /sarc
In a sane world, they'd be executed.
I guess the best we can hope for is that someone will lose the key!
Translation: phone intercepts by the evil NSA.
Ha! That's the pot calling the kettle black. Who knows what has come wafting across our southern border in the last decade, and now only waits patiently to strike.
