A group of Canadian residents arrested in coordinated raids across the Toronto area for “terrorism-related offenses” had planned to blow up targets around southern Ontario, Canadian police said on Saturday.
Mike McDonnell, assistant commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said the group had acquired three metric tons of ammonium nitrate — or three times the amount used in the 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City — as they sought to “create explosive devices.” Police said they had arrested 12 adults and five young people.

“The men arrested yesterday are Canadian residents from a variety of backgrounds. For various reasons they appeared to have become adherents of a violent ideology inspired by al-Qaida,” said Luc Portelance, the assistant director of operations with CSIS — Canada’s spy agency.
Heavily armed police officers ringed the Durham Regional Police Station in the city of Pickering, just east of Toronto, as the suspects were brought in late Friday night in unmarked cars which were drove into an underground garage.
The Toronto Star reported Saturday that Canadian youths in their teens and 20s, upset at the treatment of Muslims worldwide, were among those arrested.

Three times the amount of explosives used in Oklahoma City. I don't know if there are any cities or populated areas in Canada, but if so, that kind of firepower would do a lot of damage.

Yeah, all those Baptists and Presbyterians kidnapping and beheading Muslims are a real problem.

Haven't they or the presstitutes noticed that the Muslims are starting conflicts with their peaceful neighbors everywhere they go? Even the flags of Muslim paradises, like Saudi Arabia are adorned with weapons.
The thing that puzzles me is this...
The Canadians supposedly made phone calls to two men who were recently arrested in Georgia. I would say that it's a feather in our cap that we arrested the two Georgians before the Canadians broke their case. However, why was it that we did not eavesdrop on those phone calls? Apparently, the US is just now figuring out that there was a connection between these groups.
Did the Arlen Specters and the Charles Schumers prevent the US from eavesdropping on those calls? And might we have learned about the plot earlier if we had? And what other information did we miss out on by not intercepting those calls?
In other words, they were Muslims listening to the wrong preachers.

Nonsense, we can outlaw any cult that we deem dangerous to our country. As the poster said, islam is not a religion. IMO, this teaching of hate, death and suicide callied 'islam' will be outlawed in the West, in due time. Here's hoping it will be outlawed before it's too late and the damage is done.
