The FBI arrested two men who did computer work for a powerful state senator Wednesday on charges that they permanently deleted e-mails to thwart a federal investigation.
Leonard P. Luchko and Mark Eister performed electronic "wipes" of computers at Sen. Vincent J. Fumo's Senate offices, his home at the New Jersey shore and at a nonprofit with deep ties to Fumo, authorities allege.
"This was a deliberate, systematic and ultimately successful effort to interfere with a federal investigation," U.S. Attorney Patrick Meehan said. "We have to assume that valuable information is lost forever."

Now the question is, will one of them rat Fumo out? I'm sure the feds have said: there are two of you; and there is ONE plea agreement available...who's it going to be?

Fumo, the ranking Democrat on the Senate appropriations committee, is one of the most influential politicians in Harrisburg.Affiliation noted in the 9th paragraph of the story.

At least the article identifies the perpetrator as a RAT.

You can read the affadavit
here that shows some of the emails recovered.
It shows Fumo was extremely paranoid about the FBI getting his email - obviously there has to be something in them that he needs to conceal.

The FBI arrested two men who did computer work These weren't just two guys who happened to do computer work for the Democrat Fumo.
They worked for Senate Democratic Computer Services, which provides computer services for state senate Democrats, and are paid with taxpayer funds.

Why wasn't the Senator arrested?
To: mondonico
Denny Hastert is going to blow a gasket over this! The FBI must leave our beloved politicians alone.

Yep. What do you expect from the Associalistic Press?
Of course they gave Tom Delay the same treatment.
NOT!
The RATS culture of sleaze, corruption and wanton breaking of the law continues unabated.
I think we are going to really enjoy this "culture of corruption " matter this December.
Bring it on Nancy Pelosi.

If he was a Republican, that fact would have been in the headline.

As soon as I read

I knew it was a RAT since there was no affiliation (Rush taught me that at the EIB Institute).
